I certainly missed my HTFB yesterday. I had to run AFK and had some minor wounds (the blacks bars make me cranky). I thought, "Perfect! I can just pop a camp and heal myself while I run my errands." Too bad I had deleted the last of my camps last week to save precious storage space. OY!

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

I've had the same experiences. People stopping by to dance and play music and some just to shoot the breeze. I know what you mean though abouthow weird people have become. I asked a master smuggler the other night if he would please slice a couple weapons for me. I offered 20k per slice, despite the result. He said no and that it wasn't cost effective. The time it took him to do it was a joke and he only slices large orders, period. So i asked him if he could please do it since he was the only smuggler around, as a favor and I'd still pay the 20k each weapon. Nope, that was too much to ask.

I hate people like this. The best part was this A-hole was just sitting there spamming his wares in coronet. Think his name was Huntr from Flurry galaxy. What a jerk.

I've come to appreciate camps just a tad lately, as for the first time I've been playing a character quite a bit who hunts but doesn't have medic skills. Since there are never ever ever any doctors/medics around to heal any more (only buff), going afk in your camp is about all that you can do and it's a nice thing to have.

Still, camps are every bit as much symbols of the "new unfriendly swg" as anything else. When you walk or tavel by the "tent cities" outside of Theed or Coronet, filled with afk rangers and scouts, many of them spamming for people to visit their camps just for the privaledge of sitting in the company of a macro-grinding ranger, it really gives me just as sad a feeling as visiting an all-afk cantina, or a medical center with more tumblers than doctors.

Stay out of the cities. There are actually some nice people in this game. A lot of them are only in it for profit (seems an odd concept for a game) but some people just want to have fun. The worst for me is when I start up a group of people in one of the more popular dungeons and end up with the majority of them AFK. The ones that stay around are usually quite nice, though. Overall, I find that most people are nice enough as long as you don't want anything from them. That's where the major problems come in.

I agree, one of my pet peeves....speaking to armor craftors, trying to buy armor...and they tell you that they wont do it, cause they only make and sell composite armor, no matter what I offer them.

pretty sad, letting customers pass you by because you only want to make composite.

ahh well, would probably be better off not using armor anyways

It's probably not that they don't want to make other types of armor. They likely don't have the necessary resources to make other armors. It can be a pain to collect all the necessary resources for the various armors (even if you ignore quality) because of the limited inventory space. By offering other types of armor they need to stock the materials to make it. My guild AS has tons of resource stacks lying around but the only thing he can make in quantity is composite (and wookie armor). He has some other stuff lying around so that he can play with it but there is very little chance that he would be able to make custom armor for people. It's too much of a pain to get everything he needs.

Thank you Nemo0, and of course you are right.

I should have been intelligent enough to think about that, and who knows maybe next time I will ask them if they lack the resources, that may just open up an opportunity for new partnerships

Good Journey.
