Thread: Mission Terminals....

So was doing a bit of avain hunting on Colleria and got bored of culling our majestic rasp friends and so decided to go for some greater gulganaws. So after some unsuccessful tracking of them I go off to the mission terminals to get some missions for them - as you do. Think was I couldn't find a single mission for one. I tried equipping weapons, grouping with others, grouping with pets - basically the whole shabang.

I guess my question is - is there a cap on the amount of missions that can be got a day for certain creatures or is this some sort of weird bug. Tbf I've been trying to get other missions lately and on Colleria, for example, in the last week I've only been able to get 5 types of critter on the mission terminals.

Anyone know whats going on?

I could be wrong, but I believe that there have never been missions for Gunganaws. This is one of the reasons that hunting avian is such a grind, and why docs complain that we either wont get it for them or when we do we charge too much.

I think the level of the planet has the most affect on what you can take missions for.I can get missions for just about anything on Endor (ungrouped with Pistols), but I can't get higher than Baggie missions on Corelia.Another example; on Lok, I can grab Level 32 Stormie missions, but I can't gethigher thanlevel 12-14 Droid Engineer missions on Corellia. In other words, the starter planets are more picky over what they dole out than the Advanced planets are...

I changed my train of thought at least 3 times on this post, so forgive me if I make no sense .

Btw is what tsn said true? Would make alot of sense if it is. If so my question would be if its a bug or its planned.

I have ahd sooo many missions in my SWG life that I couldn't tell you if you could ever get missions for them. It is certainly possible, but I think I had missions for them before (possibly on Talus).

I'm as certain as I can be that they simply dont appear on the mission terminals in Corillia. I've looked at all levels of my development, naked holding a spoon and armoured like Ned Kelly with my best killing gun and I've enever seen them, ever. I'll stand corrected but I really think I'm right - on this occasion anyway

Have you checked the explorer mission terminals, they may appear on that. Wont help you locate them but it will pay better when you do...

Good idea tsn - I'll try that later.

I'm kinda wondering if they don't how to test something like this to see if its true. What happens for me might not happen to someone else :/

The mission terminals are deffiantly picky.

There is currently a good spawn of avain on my server but its on rori. That means rasps and vir vir's.

Its impossible to gte vir vir missions, but i should be able to get rasp missions.

Ive had friends pull the missions and they have a cost of 700-800 credits. Now when i look at the board im offered 650-680 missions (wrong creature) then 1000+ missions, Even refreshing for 15 mins trying to find one i came away empty handed.

If i unequip my gun the mission lvl drops to 450 and wont go higher.

with a pure harvest droid 450-680, 1000+ missions

with a combat droid 1000-2500 missions

Why wont the stupid thing give me missions for rasps, it shows me missions below there lvl but refuses to show me any 700-800 cost missions for any type of rasp.

Explorer missions mean while do pay more but even with area track its almost imposible to find avains untill u run over the damm spawn.

A search option on missions to show(generate) missions for persific creatures would be nice, I even surjest that this option have a Price tag on it so it costs us to get a mission we like.

I've noticed, too, the directions are NOT random. They favor a specific direction (NE, NW, S, ect ect). I always scroll through the missions 3 times and note which direction I get the most of, then look for ones in that direction. I once got a Quenker Mission S, and I spent 10 minutes looking for another to the S. I passed well over 100 ones to the N.

Bad luck

At some point in history I was getting gulginaw missions on Corellia - I was already a Master Ranger, and was somewhere in the middle of the Pistoleer tree.

Might I suggest you are ...ahem... too powerful to get these missions. It would take a couple/three wimpy pets to drag you down tothe gulginawlevel (I think they are at best level 12-15, it's been a while).

If you want to lower your mission rating, group with a Master CM and a Master Doc. For some silly reason, that combination of professions draws down any groups' mission difficulty.

I agree. How about we have mission terms with pull down menusthat allow you to select a creature or NPC type and then its direction? I am happy with how you can get missions depending on the level you are grouped at, but something needs to be done about weapon equips with the level missions you get. I mean come on. You can only fight so many low levellairs without getting bored. I would like the challenge up there a bit. Maybe choose a level of difficulty? Like an FWG5 could spawn missions for level 15 -20 or something like that?Andyou could choose the level mission for that range.Sheesh. I mean with a set of buffs and with a droid or a low level pet they can be boring. Its not the creds so much as the challenge. Standing there clicking forever for the right direction to match a mission andthe creature type really hinders the time the game is played.
