Do you mean the option to choose listing only missions in that direction like filtering, or the option to make your own mission and then have it randomly assign whatever the appropriate payout is?

PS I don't care about the credits, and this part should be the random part of missions.

New thought on this. What if only Rangers could do this? Would this be something cool for all of us to be in agreement on? Would this provide a value for Rangers? Just want to know what you guys think.

If you want to lower your mission rating, group with a Master CM and a Master Doc. For some silly reason, that combination of professions draws down any groups' mission difficulty.

Twas a brilliant suggestion Calc......Alas it too failed. So I went noob hunting....(much easier to track a noob than a gulganaw it seems :smileywink. After a bit of testing and almost 10k in bribes I still couldn't get any gulganaw missions. We tried grouped and by themselves - weapons equipped and unequipped and all the rest. Tbf it was slightly less fun than killing rasps . I think the conclusion we have to come to is that gulganaws and thier greater cousins have been removed from mission terminals (Be really good if some others could verify this btw). Makes me wonder what else has been removed and why they have been removed (if indeed they have and i'm not just the unluckiest person in the world )

Btw cheers for the input chaps - now go noob hunting yourself and verify this dammit :smilywink:

If you were on my server I'd be willing to help out (I have almost no combat skills anymore leading me to have CL 10s be red con) and I can call a decent pet to compare with. I don't even need to go noob hunting. Have you tried going to different cities? Some cities are more likely to give missions for specific creatures than others.

You can add Giant Peko Peko's to the list of missions that I can no longer get. Tried different cities, groupings etc... again with no luck on this one.

I kinda wondering if they stealth nerfed any missions that drop the larger amounts of avian meat.....

I do remember thinking the same thing sometime back. It wouldn't surprise me if they did it (possibly when they were messing with the mission payouts). Although I'm fairly certain it's not just avian.

Nice ideas.

I like the idea yet on a similar note im focused on getting /track implemented

A ranger should not have to resort to taking destroy 'contracts' (missions) to hunt. We should be able to select what we want to hunt and bang, off we go.

Its common knowledge that naturallairs have more spawns than mission lairs and this is what i think most rangers would prefer to find if they could, a lair with a higher gross harvest amount. I think track would be such a great ability to push us to the forfront of hunting specialisation. If a good avian meat pops on naboo for example. we would be able to /track for giant peko pekos andthe systemwould spawn a naturalgiant peko peko lair (a natural one being a lair that spawns more creatures and thus has a much higher gross harvest). The average joe harvester would have to resort to other means (i.e. missions) to gain extra finance selling their harvests. This would give a clear advantage over dabblers and oportunity hunters.

I like it. Or, how about ranger mission terminals? Bounty hunters have mission terminals that only they can use, why can't we? Ranger mission terminals would be for creatures only, and you'd be able to choose the direction and the creature from among all that spawn on that planet or in that area. I wouldn't care if they didn't even pay any credits.

To make things really interesting, the skill tree could be modified to allow higher level rangers to store more ranger terminal missions. Maybe at novice you'd be able to store 2 missions, like we're used to. As you go up the tracking (or whatever) tree, you'd be able to store more missions until at master, you could store 10 or something.
