I'm a Novice CH so I'm qualified to use it. I tried doing what you suggested, nothing happened. I'll try again. Thanks.

Make sure the battery is charged, and make sure that the resource you are trying to harvest is available on the critter. If you try to harvest bone from an insect, it will just sit there, and you won't be able to harvest anything from the creature afterwards.

And just remember that each time u want to harvest something different , u need to reset the harvest interest on the little bugger.
There are also some options on naming ur droid, but you may want to do a google search for droid engineers,swg.... or something like that to find them. Good luck.

A friend made me one of these with a +105 harvesting bonus. Now, I can use these to collect HIde, Bone, Meat, correct?
OK. . .how do I program it to harvest? I set the commands, and the "harvesting. . .something". How do I get it to harvest the resources?
Try to keep the laughter to a minimum when you answer.

First you need to be at least a novice scout for this. Second it doesnt harvest with you it helps you. So if you harvest it count and vice versa. You set a harvest command under "SET COMMAND" such as "harv". The next box is preference where you tell it meat/hide/bone or random. Then when thats all done its ready to go. Anytime you have a corpse you target the corpse and say the command. The little droid runs out and does it. What it harvests will goe into your inventory

Well, you program the droid with what you want to harvest, then you program the keyword. When you have a critter that you killed targetted, issue the command (either use /tellpet or regular ole spatial).

When programming it to harvest target... you need to follow these steps in order... at least i found this works the best.
1. From the last selection on the right side of the radial menu Choose programharvest target
2. type /tellpet <command word or letter>
3. click on a dead target you just killed
you should then see the droid accept the command and proceed to harvest the target...
if you want it to get a certain type of resource then follow the suggestion from above posters.
hope this helps...

These droids are rubbish. They hardly ever obey instructions and they run off in the opposite direction.
I do better with veghash and the harvesting mods I get with Master Ranger.

The droids are nice if your a ranged profession. Just remember to set the command with more then 1 letter since like pets there been issues with tellpet and one letter commands.

i had one of them darn droids and i could harvist more with a vegihas in me gut. these droids would be better if they could AUTO harvist by themselfs or harvist as a team IE they harvist and you harvist getting twice as much like in normal groups.

Well, the nice thing about the droids for a melee ranger combo, is that while you are in combat you can tell the droid to harvest while you commence to pound on whatever happens to be attacking you. Also,if i understand the droids right, the harvest bonus is whatever your personal harvest yield x (harvest bonus on droid) . So a droid with harvest bonus of 107 is harvesting 107% of whatever you would harvest. But i may be wrong,i ain't no droid engineer
