And replied 3 times too... hmmmm

Well the absolute top quality resources are never going to follow a real pattern, you're straying away from regular supply and demand pricing into boom and bust, with rich merchants outbidding each other to get their greedy hand on the limited amounts that spawn for a limited time. (And Tatooine Avian Meat was going for absolutely breathtaking prices on Chimaera lately, it may be true that any novice scout with a cdef can kill nunas and get some meat, but there is no big critter to gather it from in bulk).

However that's only the real unusual high quality stuff, and if you happen to get 2 really good spawns of meat in a row the second one's price can drop dramatically from what you might expect as all, so in general I find that predicting the really good stuff is not worth it, either sell low to guild-mates, or sell at the current bidding price to the guys afk shouting in Bestine and Coronet.

For low to medium good quality stuff being sold on a vendor in a resources shop, the calculator's are what I've always used with a minimum 5cpu price, and my vendor was always selling enough to keep me in armour and wepaons.

(I'd repost the link to the web-based and Excel versions of my calculators from earlier in the thread here but I'm having big problems with my web host and server at the moment so they're not going to be available for the next day or two).

Many thanks for your program, Kyra. It comes in very handy. I had been using Volstead's formulae, and while it was a very good reference for the earlier days of the game, yours reflects current reality much more closely.

There is a new version of the program up. Same name and download URL as given above. The changes are that I adjusted the CPU curve a bit more to try to keep it in alignment with recent auctions, and I have added buttons to isolate up to 4 different Galaxies for the Save and Load functions. Button 1 is the same resource set you have already saved with the 1st version, buttons 2-4 give you different resource sets for different characters on different Galaxies. So your saved resource list won't be cluttered with irrevalant resource names from other Galaxies.

PS: the price curve actually sets CPU slightly below auction prices. Of course there is an adjustment slider that lets you move the whole curve up or down to suite fluctuating conditions.

it and sell out-of-shift when the resource has moved on. I had Docs left and right wanting Avian meat NOW!!! So I sold it to them... no longer, I'll wait until its out of shift, and then sell. (BTW this only works if your saved resource is better than what is currently available).

Good point and me and a hunting buddy just taloked about that! So, I put up a vendor and I am gonna do the same thing!

Your so right when it goes away that hot stuff is going to go up in price! I sold 50k of WOOLY when it was in the 1000 OQ. Man it hasnt hit anywhere like that in awhile and they were paying 100 cpu! Just imagine what I would get now!!

Thanks so much for posting this guide. As a ranger I have people asking how much for me to go get this or that resource, and this makes it much easier to satisfy customers.

Byro I dont understand the jumble of numbers in the middle I dont like looking like an ass but ill never figure it out if I dont ask. I looks like your are taking 3 stats and adding then multiplying by 3 and dividing by some number? Am I wrong?
