I would imagine that it is 20% bonus according to your skill mod, not simply +20 to your skill mod. IF you think, it is quite different to say "20% bonus" than to say "+20 to the harvest skill"...

I think I worked out how to explain the two different interpretations.
Calc, imagine you work for me and I pay you $20 for the job of work. I decide am well pleased and say am giving you a 20% bonus.
Now, are you expecting $20+$20 (no, that's a 100% bonus) , or what I'm intending giving you, $20+20% of $20.
One of us is expecting $40, the others got $24 to hand over.
(Oddly enough, it's not so much of an issue when we get to $100+. $100+$20=$120. $100+20%=$120.
So,
skill rate of 20+20=new skill rate of 40, but plus 20%=24 (Sad scout, feels ripped off)
skill rate of 100+20= new skill rate of 120, but plus 20%=120 (Happy Ranger either way)
I really don't see how '20% bonus' can be misinterpretted as +20 (with a mod of anything other than +100). If they were giving a +20 mod, they would have to say there is a bonus mod of +20, not a 20% bonus.
Think of it this way, if I said I was going to give you an apple, would you sit there and worry about if I was giving you an apple or an orange? It is pretty straight forward, you are getting an apple

Yes, probably. And you still will be outharvested by a non-stacker, for example a master swords, master ranger.

Hmmmm... that sounds like a challenge! I am leveling a swordsman on WH - I may have to send her Ranger now just to see what the difference is (like I needed the excuse
Back to harvesting - I assume the bonus will work the same way the penalty worked. So whatever your harvest decrease was based on, expect the increase to be based on the same thing.

It's like I've been saying "We're going to get an apple" and you're going "how could anyone think we were getting an orange?".
I even went off and did MATH !
Can we all just go to TC now and kill stuff. AND LOTS OF IT?

. The best part is, we are arguing, and we aren't even the ones who are confused, BUT you were arguing that people were confused and we needed a dev to clarifiy. I was simply pointing out that there was no confusing statement anywhere!

But... the harvest changes were not added this publish to TC (were held off) so hopefully they are changing them. They may be changing, they may just be refining them internally but atleast there is hope. Changes would take a while to go into effect so hopefully we should hear somethingin the short term future.

and for the record, I stopped being confused after Calc's stunning revelations (errr, and a couple of cups of coffee. Teach ME to get all fired up about something before I'm properly caffeinated in the AM...). So let's just forget my, and others, confusion over what the "20% bonus" means. If the devs clarify or expound on it in the future, great. Not gonna worry about it 'cause what someone said before is true - probably not gonna change my play style in the slightest either way.
In summary:
No penalty if anyone is grouped = Excellent; no penalty for grouping and we can group up and pull higher lvl missions which means more to harvest now
Bonus = OK
Bonus tied to some kind of "have to be within X meters of the harvest/ group" requirement = Better
Bonus tied to there having to be a Master Scout / Master Ranger in the groupto actually convey the bonus to the group= Superb, and makes more sense

Precedent, people. The current system isn't -40 to skill mod, it's -40%. Why would they change a decrease in percentage into a bonus to skill? Only thenumbers are changing, not the entity qualified by those numbers. It is and will remain a question of percentage.
It still bites, though.

And either the devs were at-least listening a little bit or they just got lucky...
Now... the question is to drop novice rifleman and squad leader 0010 to get back the trapping line and master or live with only a 30% bonus
