There is no problem with aMS getting outharvested by a lower scout while grouped. There can't be, as both would get the same bonus (20%). Where there still is a potential problem, is with a Novice Ranger getting outharvested by a MS, or 0040 scout with whom he is grouped.

If you have a ranger in your group it's +30%. And 40% if you have a master ranger in your group. (number of group members don't matter, only the highest skill boost in your group, besides you.)

Yeah, but if they have to be in range, then it doesn't really help. Nobody ever wants to actually go hunting with me, so even in a group, I'd be out of range, and wouldn't get the bonus.

Your droid won't harvest something that's further than 64m away. You have to be withing 64 of the targeted corpse or you get the message "Target is out of range".

It was probably something I said - and I stated it wrong. In a group with a NRanger, a Scout0040, and a Mscout all havesting a merek Avenger the numbers were:

Scout0040: 135
MScout: 140
NRanger:133

So the Scout0040 does not outharvest the MScout, but they both outharvest the NRanger.
