I'm a novice on TC, same name except just drop the "k" (Frederic). If you see me let me know and I will help (no droid tho, I guess I can be the base test).

Just wanted to make my thoughts known on this DE Droid harvestor thing on the TC.
! IT SUCKS !
I'm SO angry about this that I have used a larger font size than normal, in red, for the first time in my posting history.. I can't believe we wanted increased harvesting, andinstead we get thisstupid droid that's probably slower than a dead horse, just as hard to get moving and will more than likely cost me a daft ammount of money for a good one and then I probably have to keep it powered to even do anything usefull...
How stupid I am going to look when I am on Dathomir and have to tell my team to wait while I get a droid to go and chop up all the rancors for me, as for some unknown reason it is better at it than a master ranger...?
When godwas handing out brains, obviously the Sony development team was working on a patch for something no-one really wanted or asked for but they thought would be a good idea based on the fact the vending machine had been restocked with really cheapcrunchies and the last episode of friends had been a really good one the night before..
How dothey pick the next set of updates for this game, seriously ? Put all the ideas from the people who play into a big hat , then burn the hat and ask the homeless guy in the shelter outside to pick a colour, green or white.. The colour of course has no relevance to the game at all , they just do that for fun while they make some strange droids attack Theed which I still have no clue about and havent seen.. So that was well worth the effort, I noticed the imperial crackdown alright, bestine has about 300 stormie corpses around so I know that worked.. Sorry did I say worked, I meant got included..
Bitter....? Me....? Noooooo, I'm about as bitter as a lemon flavoured lemon in a huge vat of lemon juice which has BE enhanced bitterness, oh and of course the lemons came from the Publish 9 lemon harvestor droid we all wanted...
I don't care if the droid works or if it explodes when it tries to pull one unit of meat out of something, it will be a cold day in SoE's office before I buy one or use one.. I'm a ranger, why do I need a droid to do what I do best.. Sorry , am SUPPOSED to do best..
/rant off
Oooooo, you know... If I had a life, I would end it.

Exactly, Bu'lba And the dreaded "TKM/MRM/Novice Scout" will also be buffed and armored, so his "outharvesting" of your is basically based on the fact that you CHOOSE to be outharvested by not using buffs and armor.
The approach on Rancorhunting you described for the TKM/MRM is the way I do it too (and I'm not even novice brawler

Oy! Try the droids before you post! The droids aren't necessarily the devs answer to increased harvesting. They are the answer to getting useful droids into the game.
But you did bring up a valid point Bounty...what about our increased harvest ability (sans droid)? It is still being pushed heavily by myself, Delta and at least a few other Corrs.
That being said, I have still not decided if I like the harvesting droids, the jury is still deliberating.

And just to prevent any strange ideas:
I can't heal myself.
Kope is (as of now): Master Marksman, Master Rifleman, Ranger 0-0-4-0. And I only picked up Master Marksman and dropped most of Ranger due to a simple "calculation". Another couple of millions hurled out to some skilltape-hoarder for some more riflespeed points or the dropping of skillboxes that I have no use whatsover for (a shame, but this is as we all know the state of ranger as of now) and pick up that Master Marksman box for the speedpoints.
Simply put: The min/maxers do not have a harvest-advantage above the non-min/maxers because of their combatfocused "template", they get it from also maxing out equipment used.
I myself currently use a full set of Sarianes "SkyWalker" series composite sliced to 90% efficiency with cold as special at 80%, I am buffed, I use (only) vasarian brandy and vagnerian canape to help my mind (and I migrated all ham points to mind/focus/willpower), as I unlike you do not need to work myself around docbuffs with cheffoods I can use all "stomachspace" on them. Add to this a Sanu-made stocked t21 with a 35% damageslice (or in case of some rancor-types, a krayt-tissue enhanced disruptor rifle also damagesliced) and none of the combatfocused-templates with just novice scout will ever outharvest me on rancors, their min/maxed equipment will be pretty much be comparable to mine and equipment used (including SEAs), doc buffs, mind-drink/food (to work around the somewhat nasty encumbrance of such armorsets) is what makes the fast approach of adv. strafe spamming for rancorhunting doable for every Master Rifleman, no matter what else he has as combat-skills.
The second I myself loot another Riflespeed-SEA +4 or more will be the same moment I again climb up to Master Ranger, and still the MRM/TKM min/maxer will not be able to outharvest me, as he simply has no advantage above me even on the "extreme" case of rancor-hunting for ressources.
(i surely won't pay for it, but as apparently the npcs on the corvette drop nice SEAs and I probably will be there quite regularly the next days to finish the other two imperial and the three neutral missions I hope we pick up one SEA for riflespeed there

Ok, sorry.. Sorry.. I know I should try before I fry.
I was at the office and was enraged, I'm at home now so I'm a little more placid, although the many people I insulted on the way home will no doubt be crying themselves to sleep.. Made me feel better though..
I don't use my droids for much more than storage at the moment and I do think that the DE's need love after the last update they got didn't go totally how they would have liked. That said I would put a shiny five star badge on these droids if we get the increased harvesting bonuses, at least with that we would notice a real benefit but as of right now (and when it's published) this does nothing to the overall ammount of our harvesting other than a marginal increase which everyone can get if they have scout upwards..
I know your doing your best to get the harvesting pushed forward calc, i've got all my fingers crossed on that one, as have we all no doubt.

Actually, all the new modules were based on some of the thousands ideas posted on the DE forum.
(This particular harvester module included, but don't ask me to point a precise post, there are much more post with module ideas in this forum than DE on all the servers)
Now, on how it's exactly work, is more up to the devs I think.
So don't loose faith.
