So, the only difference between the two is the effect on the community. I just feel it's better for us all if we keep our wits about us and don't let ourselves decend to trying to incite flames and rants. The only people who are affected by our attitudes are us. The only thing that happens when we rant and flame is that we start getting mad at one another. That only hurts us. Being nice may not do anything, but since being angry doesn't either, we might as well be nice.
Unfortunately the only sure-fire way to garner Dev attention is if the corporate bigwigs feel the money slipping away asplayers quit the game.
If we are not willing to take that drastic approach then patience is our only option. I have been able to find enjoyment in this game even though I reluctantly decided to drop Ranger in the respec. I check back every now and again in hopes of news of a little love for Rangers, but deep down I really don't expect much. SWG is a bit like real life in that professions die every day and only a few from that profession may remain, but if they do, it because they love it. I love Ranger, but I am not willing to cripple my enjoyment of SWG by naively holding on to a dying profession in hopes of a rez by the Devs. Many others don't feel like being a Ranger is so bad. No matter what you may feel, the point is to enjoy the game and make that $15 a month worth the cost to you.
If you are unhappy being a Ranger, Itotally understand the desire to flame SOE/Devs. I also understand the converse approach of patient constructive posting. But it still seems that the only way to get real attention is by hitting their bottom line. Otherwise, find a different way to enjoy SWG and hope for the best.
But I dont want to see our forum reduced to BH/Jedi range either. You can be angry all you want. Just do it somewhere else.

You guys are way to negative. SOE is a business, and where they prioritize their time is based on income. Do you really believe a Ranger revamp will draw new players to the game? Will people stream over from WoW and EQ2 just to be a Ranger? No, Jedi and BH are the drawing factors right now, so it's logical they get first priority.
anyway, if you want to be angry, feel free to be. But please, don't ruin this forum with it, okay? Don't try to incite anger among others. It's really bad for other people to come in and see this. This is exactly the kind of stuff that makes people not want to read the Jedi forums, believing that somehow we should be the top priority, and being angry when that doesn't happen. I'm done here. You two want to be upset, it's cool, but I'm not going to keep trying to cheer you up when all you're doing is complaining about something that nobody can change.
You guys are a bad influnence on me, I normally don't even bother to commit on post of this nature. I have to agree with Phen here....suck it up, it could be worse, lets act like adults.

I think he was talking about me, Paks. He has made several comments about me, but strangely refuses to say my name. I can take it, I am a big boy.
I have been trying to keep the whiners calm for nearly two years, I am not going to stop now. I have been on the inside and seen how the dev game is played. I know what works, and what doesn't. What makes the whiners think they know better than I do?
Oh, and BioEngine, you need to brush up on sarcasm. Teero (Oreet) knew what he was saying and knew that I was kidding. He spent a whole thread razzing me on a horrific typo I made, and we just moved into another thread.

I've only been here a short time but alreadyIlovethis forum. Its nice to have a forum were the peolpe have a sense of humor and can share there ideas without childish arguingand sensless flameing. Ranger is without a doubt the best path in SWG.

Problem is man, this is what ive been asking for so so so long now ever since i first got the gig. Paks has asked for it, JB asked for it, Calc asked for it but simply put the devs dont want to do it. In an ideal world i would of sat down with the devs on day one and told them exactly what is wrong but this isnt an ideal world and in our world its not that the devs dont listen, its that they dont do anything about the issues because they dont deem them important. Its the same for so many systems in this game.
No matter how many reports i post, emails and pms i send, there wont be this special time with the devs. I wish we could sit down and just tell them the deal but it hasnt happened and chances are never will.
