Looking for AR on Bria server.
Have ingame mailed the contacts listed, uhm, in the list and well, am still looking for AR on Bria...
Heh, yes you contacted me and we spoke briefly. What I brought up was that long ago I was interested in AR. But the game does not leave much, or have any real mechanics for us to truely represent AR as they are supposed to be. Buuuut, with the upcoming changes in both Combat Balance and how to obtain a jedi character, there are a lot more options. I have since started a ranger group called RoB, and had much fun with that and it kept me in the ranger groove. RoB is taking a break for a while, and I have been trying other aspects of the game.
With the fact that my ranger can become fully force sensitive, and gain some minor force abilities, with out dropping any current skills is fantastic. Then also, since it seems they are planning some changes for ranger in the combat balance, to give us an actual role in combat, not to mention being able to wear Mandolorian armor. With these two additions, depending on how cool we are after Ccombat Balance, I think the mechanics for us to be "true" Antarian Rangers is much more feasable.
My understanding of AR is that most of them were FS that didn't make it into the jedi accademy, or never wanted to. They were helpers, contacts, protectors confidants to the jedi that used them. By most of them being in tune with the force to some degree, they were that much more help to the jedi, both in communications, deplomacy, secrecy, and combat. So if a master ranger can be useful and have a useful role in combat, and be force sensitive, I think I would be interested in being involved in some AR gathering on Bria. For me personally it would have to not be a guild, or at least not mandatory to be in the guild. Which would help the AR stay secretive. Having AR next to your name kind of gives it away. I know most other servers have it setup like this. I do have some experience in running/maintaining a non guild group, or rangers specifically, and what kind of communications are helpful.
So if anyone else is also interested in maybe starting an AR thing on Bria, once we get those changes done, let me know. Maybe a prerequisite to the group, is you have to have gotten at least some of the Force Sensitive quests done, if not all.

From brief discussions* with a couple of other rangers / master scouts in Bria it looks as if an AR chapter is unlikely to happen till after the Jedi revamp.
As I'm still working towards Master Ranger this is almost ideal for me as if gives me a bit of time to use what few spare skill points I have to get medic and to play around with a casual PA.
That apart, I still reckon we Rangers are pretty 'cool' as we stand, but after the revamp? Oh yeah!
* (brief discussions - not that we're an antisocial bunch, I think it's more to do with the fact we spend out time in-game actually DOING stuff and not hanging around shuttleports or med centres. Yep, we're _that_ cool!)
For the most part, I'm pretty sure (not positive) AR has more of less dissolved. I saw a couple of the key players from AR at the WOOK Armor Day festival awhile back, we all were bearing tags of different guilds. The holo grind kinda seperated everyone. That and after moving out of Mos Antar, it just didnt seem the same for me.
I dont think the guild has completely dissolved though. My brother still has his AR tag, but I havent seen anyone else with it a couple of months.
