Hmmm, this Outdoorsman Chapeau (or "Ranger Hat") is intriguing. Are there opportunities for cross profession skill bonuses?
By reusing the Modular Camp code, we could end up with Turret Stetsons or Laser Fence Fedoras.

But it gives me a chance to quickly add that whatever form the Ranger Hat takes (I'm curiously drawn to the idea of a knotted kerchief for some reason) there really needs to be a version for those species with weird heads that hats won't fit on at present.
Now, those different hats at different levels...
what about different hats at lvl IV in each tree?
Trapping: tartan 'trapper' hat with floppy ear flaps.
Camping: knotted kerchief, only to be worn IN camp, in your underwear and sandals.
Tracking: deer stalker
Killin'n'skinnin'n'stuff: Nice no nonsense beret,
Master ranger, the full on Croc Dundee with beer bottle lids and corks.

Underwear should be of the string vest stylee, and only to be equipped when seated in a deck chair and brandishing a 99 icecream with raspberry sauce, ONLY (and this is important) when raining. In a true British Summer time fashion... Although that may restrict the usefulness somewhat...

Then it dawns on me. I'm in my very British car (Lotus), very visably eating an icecream and driving from the very american left seat.
I woke up laughing. I needed that laugh too, the rest of my day was crap.
