Hi Delta,
You have made a great posting here, and one which I have used for reference many times. Even though I have played the game for quite some time now, I must say that you make several good points here.
Keep up the good work.
And for all you who have posted the "negative " aspects of being a Ranger.. Firstly a game expericene is different fromplayer to player.. not everyone want to be combat monster.. (e.g TKM - RIFLEMAN..) - Some of us want to explore other parts of the game. I admit that Ranger is not perfect... but in the time I have been Ranger several adjustments have been made.. and I see it as a working progress. Will I change career? no.

Hmmm,
Having nearly achevied master ranger, and reading this guide a zillion times, and it is a wonderful help, I wonder what happened to the stationary traps that were mentioned in it. When did these fall by the wayside?
Thanks,
Dean

Hello all,
I was wondering what had happened to the stationary traps mentioned in this beginning of this guide, they would be a wonderful addition, and I think we deserve them. It takes a long time to get toMaster Ranger, and some new perks would be nice.

Hello all,
First off, Delta, thankyou for a wonderfoul post. this should help me in my growth as a ranger. The one on scout helped out alot too. Also seems like i am also a redheaded step child too (also going for master pikeman0, but that works since my ranger is red headed hehe.
Again the hints/ideas you give should help me some, though I don't grow fast anyway... tool me over a month to master scout, but then I am not interested in growing fast. I roleplay mostly, and I acualy use the professions to survive alone while exploring... Now to figure out how to get past some pesky droids in a droid cave
As forthe posts in the past that say that /scent doesn't work well. i find it to work greatly, wether I am walking/running/crawling or on a swoop/bike. I use it all the time and when I notice it run off or get cracked by a creature, I just stop nd put it back on when I can. I have been able to survive very long on ALL planets, hehe. this ability alone, and maby the capability of camping, means I will never get rid of master scout again! hehe
Now for my character to figure out how to make, and keep monkey! er I mean money lol... time for the Hunt!

This has been said before, but must be said again...
Thanks SO much for taking the time to make this guide! I have been working on Ranger for a month or longer, and to be honest, I started just for the tracking ability.
Then I came in here and started reading. This post and others like it have got me totally pumped about eventually becoming a Master Ranger. I totally love it. And everyday when I come around and read these forums and learn some more tidbits about this profession, I cant wait to log in and try them out.
As for the person who said this stuff was right out of the Prima Games Strategy guide? Brother, you got to learn to READ! I own the thing, bought it when I bought the game, got a package deal on it from a friend... The entire 2 and a half pages devoted to describing the Ranger profession, is to say the least totally misinformed. The amount of XP required to advance in each tree is only off by about 10 to 20k xp per box... And doesnt even come close to describing all the mods/bonuses you get with the profession. To be honest, Prima Games needs to be hung out on Dathomir every day of the week for a year or two right in a rancor nest with live meat hanging around their necks for even publishing the guide.
So, now that I have totally gotten off topic here, thanks again for this information! I will be back day after day, unitl I have consumed it all.....LMAO! And just the sheer excitement it brings me to read this stuff, and then log in, and go play around in the game, is just priceless...
My two cents...
