we may be the only proffession that has a developer drop by without deluging them with "why u hte us?" or "devs-read this" posts.
Instead we get lost in out own little world about who was first, how we're gonna get Tiggs into our HTFB and such sillyness.
Gotta love it.

I am obviously behind in my reading but would someone please enlighten me or be so kind as to place a link here that would indicate why we as a community should expect anymore from TIGGS then we have received from GreenMarine or any other Dev?
Thank you
Perfectly legitimate to be doubtful. Hopefully your mind will be changed for the positive in the future.

The devs know we exist. The devs will fix us someday.
I have to agree with Calculus, I do believe that someday Rangers will be fixed. I think somewhere through June I had hoped the profession would've had some attention by the end of the year, now I don't have hope for that through most of next year there will be any positive changes to the profession. But if you look through all of 2004 you will see nothing but bad news for Rangers.
Mostly I'm just sorry that Calculus didn't see any positivity come from his duration as correspondant. He did a good job, a very challenging, struggle filled job, that unfortunately probably had more roadblocks than he was prepared for. NowI hope the next Correspondant will be prepared for a struggle, and many battles that will likely getthe professionnowhere.

No Calc I am not cluttering the forum I am trying to drive home a point. You and the sand boxers may be constantly in contact with the devs but that has brought about no changes. That has been the case for a very long time. I bring back the past as a reminder that we have heard this all before. Why are some of this forum so scared to admit the truth. If I state that despite all the corrs efforts and the efforts of others has not succeeded in getting action fromt he devs, then I am told to prove it. When I use past posts to prove it then I am told not to Necro post. The simple fact is that Ranger will not be getting any help as usual. JTL is out and needs attention, the CU needs attention and Ranger is not a profession updated in it, Smuggler revamp, Squad Leader revamp, GCW revamp to include battlefields and lets not forget other products coming out to compete that will drive other changes as the devs see fit. This means we must look to past performance as a predictor of future performance. So given that are we to honestly believe anything is coming for Ranger. Have we not been told in the past changes were coming only to find out that changes were indeed NOT coming.

Seraph-- the community as a whole knows that we need attention. There has been communication with the developers. But we've known the schedule of what the developers were planning for over 5 months now. At this point it's game of waiting. There needs to be some positive energy when the devs get here. Digging up the past only leaves you dirty, after all. No one is saying you can't express your opinion. and no one is saying that there is one "right" way to go about looking for change. But the forum usage documents state that necro posting is bad. You've resurected several old threads and done nothing to make them relevant to today. We all know Rangers still haven't gotten any love. But "they STILL haven't helped up" posts do nothing to help the community. You see them a lot in other professions because they are easier to do and require less thought than actually coming up with ideas or arguments. I expect more from our community. We as a whole are very intelligent, and while I know the wait is frustrating (believe me, I've been more agitated lately myself) I have come to expect that Rangers are the exception to the rule whne the chips are down and as a whole we should strive for ideas over complaints.
They are relevant because Calc is stepping down. Further this community already has presented several excellent ideas and this forum has yet to bear any fruit from them.

Please stop the necro posting. The devs know we exist. The devs will fix us someday. The devs are aware of our concerns. Trust me. I have made it abundantly clear to them. The Sandbox Rangers have had direct contact with the devs and can back me up. All you are doing with these necro posts is cluttering up the forum.
