Hey, give the guy a break. He didnt say this needs to be implemented he just gave his opinion on merging them and wanted to know our thoughts on this were. Seems he just started a discussion to learn why or why not it would be a bad call to merge them. And he received alot of flames for it in the bargain. Its a discussion board and thats how we learn. We discuss and argue(friendly most often I would hope).

I dont know the post starter but maybe he's new to forums. I remember my first forum post ever on the internet and it was one long paragraph run on sentence that everyone was kind enough to help sift through and I learned to better organize my thoughts and arguements(sp?) from reading other posts over time.

Not everyone coming to forums has a long history of posting ideas or organizing their thoughts in a concise manner. We all have to start somewhere.

Now, as to the topic.. I know nothing of squad leader so I cant say as I have any clue as to why or if they should be merged. I know Ranger needs a lil love but it will come in a year or three... lol. Also, I had thought at one time that Squad Leader was on the list of professions awaiting a revamp.

I see Rangers as hunters and experienced outdoorsman. I see Rangers as guys who do recon and lead small groups from point a to point b safely. Not leading a battle party.
