This is already the process . Why do you think it got started on Wanderhome?.

post a sticky... GREAT RANGER MEET. name a time and place. call on the scout correspondent for a favor (he seems to fear/respect a certain large atman behind the leezard skin) and post the same event in the scout forum.

post on swgtest.com, announcing the event. ask TC players to spread the word.

I can have someone do this.

post on the correspondent forum. at the very least, I'd expect the CH, BioE, ranger (duh, he IS teh leezard), and scout correspondents to make at least an attempt to attend, and to perhaps spread the word on their respective forums.

I do post on the Corr forum about these. I even suspect the TH has attended incognito, but he hasn't told me he has yet. I hope to get Tiggs corraled for one, too. It will take A LOT to convince me to post this on the other profession forums. It is not particularly relevant to their profession, and since I post about it in the Corr forum, any interested Corss can let their communities know. Honestly, this is not about getting a gigantic group of people together, it is agout getting all of us forum Rangers together for a bit of fun .

name the time (TC seems to be as inoffensive a place as any suggested, for all parties).

if you can make it, RSVP. if you can't, post your condolences and support.

No RSVPs...If you can make it, you will be given a starting location, and I can always be contacted to let you know where we are if we have left.

if a GREAT RANGER MEET isn't logistically possible, then make a RANGER DAY on TC with a rolling attendance. make use of RIN, and celebrate the day. or a weekend.

That is a little larger in scope than the Meets are intended for.

make the call, and see who comes. it's not a perfect solution, but we don't have perfect schedules to allow a structured one-hour event. if the call is sounded, I have every hope that rangers will flock to the party.

This will be the 4th one and I must say, every one of them has been a success.

I really don't mean to sound like I disagree with everything you said, I SWEAR!

Since you seem to have a lead, are you interested in running this one?

Not really, I make a very bad leader. Just ask my guild on Eclipse

THe Eat-may bag is still funnier... FOr those of you who are hopelssly confused right now, let me entertain you with an anecdote:

I set up a house (which has since spawned a community, yay!) on TC and put some resource bags in it. I decided to name these bags "Hide and Bone" and "Meat." It should also be noted that I have the harvesting macros that follow the format of /harvest (hide, bone, meat).

One day I took the opportunity to dispose of some critters that had spawned in our community and when I harvested the critters, I got the message "You cannot harvet hide fron hide and bone at this time" and/or "You cannot harvest meat from meat at this time." Needless to say, I am pissed as, obviously, my macros are broken! This went on for a while and I noticed that occassionally my macros would indeed work!

After a hunting trip, I dropped off my resources and FINALLY made the connection between the error message I was getting and the name of the bags! In the time that I was getting the error message, I never thought to make note of my location (in this case, proximity to my house). It turns out that the harvest macro was trying to harvest the bag (because of the name) and not the critter! So, I renamed the bags to Ide-hay and One-bay, and Eat-may (which is high-larious!) and I haven't had a problem since!

Sorry to make the short story so loooong.

I hate to call a quorum, or force a decision, but...

it sounds like there are plenty of folks that could make it to a meet. the timing is likely to be a thorn, no matter what the choice.

So, who is this doc that you speak of? I will do my best to prepare my TC doc/cm for the event. He's an older, shorter, uglierand much poorer version of the doc/cm on Wanderhome who many of you have met. But, thanks to one of Calc's TC toons, he has the same clothes! I'll need to do some work to outfit him properly for this (it's much harder when you actually have to think about costs before spending money), but he should be ready by Sunday.
