Well Calc I take you to be a math major or minor. I had to take a math minor(engineering major) and it was definately Entropy.

I'm sure my forum name is pretty simple to figure out.

That is the most common mistake. A few of the people here have figured it out, and I will them decide if they want to tell, or not.

Ohhh come on some hints. Does it have anything to do with the SW name formula? That kind of calculus? Anyway, mine is two things. In college I got nicknamed Squid. Not any real reason why but it stuck and spread campus wide. And of course, since lots of people seemed to have Squid as a handle, I added the StarWars flare to it. So Squid plus Luke skyWALKER and........Squidwalker

Reyune Edredis.....hell if I know. Just thought it sounded cool. Everyone I know has developed the tendancy to shorten it to just Rey though. I don't mind really. And just to be clear....it is pronounced......Ray-oon E(soft e sound)-dred(pronounced same as the word "dread")-iss.

My forum name is the first name of my main character in EQ. Started playing EQ just a few months after it went live, and as of yet have not cancelled my account.

My SWG name is one I used way back when, when I played a pen and paper RPG called CyberPunk. Oddly she was more of a smuggler than a ranger, but never went for smuggler in SWG with her.

Yes, I got the name from somewhere, but it wasn't from Toyota, (I had it as my RPG name long before that model of car came out). I am sure they got it the same place I did. Extra foraged berries to anyone who knows what it's from.

I was going to ask if you have an alt. named Troilus -- or do you run if you see some guy named Troilus at the sp? I'm thinking Shakespeare (Chaucer spelled her 'Criseyde')

I actually heard the forumula was the first sylable of your middle name, the last two letters of your first name (or from your last vowel out), and then the name of the street you grew up on.

Alan Church was mine, how corny? lol

That would have made me Dame Edgebrook...I don't think that works for a 7' male lizard .

That would make me Wilan Westway.

The part of an ancient Greek drama, especially a comedy, in which two characters engage in verbal dispute.

Thalia: The Muse of comedy and one of the three Graces.

My formula is after what Voltaire did.....I took the first letter of my first name, then the first letter of my middle name, then my entire last name and scrambled the letters. The end result is Taljeg Lech

Taljeg Lech: Tempest -> Sergeant of the Empire; Ranger 0/2/4/1; Master Swordsman; Fisherman - 4/4/4/3 Evil will always triumph, because good is dumb

Ok the exact formula I used at the behest of my daughter was:

First three letters of last name, combined with first two of first name. Last name is First three of last name and first two of city you were born in.

How'd you get "Oppma Hamus" if you used the first 3 letters of your last name for both names? =)

doh. Thats what I get for typing while working. The second (last name) is the first three of mothers maiden name and first two of the city you were born in. <sigh> I should've stuck with the a version of the name generator lol. If she wasn't such a Star Wars freak.....

Ok, so I'm harvesting a nearly dead-thread. An OT one at that!

First off, I know the secret and mysterious origins of Calc's name. But I'm not tellin' either.

Through the various generators listed here, my names would be (in no particular order)

Evale Sh'san (I put in the apostrophe for pronunciation purposes.)
Chch California (Which looks to me like 'Chi Chi California', which is more of a drag or porno name.)
Leaev Shisan (Not that bad, but I hate the way 'Leaev' looks.)

Now the real question is, how many name generators would you need to apply to one person's name before you can determine their full name, their mother's maiden name, the city they were born in, the street they lived on as a teenager, and the name of their first cat?

Hmmm... (If you haven't guessed, although Calc's name doesn't have it's origins in math, there are a few math-o-moticians cruising the boards...)
