Darn Flu made me miss 2 days worth of posts....I have skimmed the posts I missed, andI think I get the gist of what has been discussed. I sign off on the modular idea. It allows us to get our wishes known, and in the worst case we may getindividual camps that heal BF, Pets (more quickly), and fortifications (I dislike the idea of turrets) instead of modulesfor each of those to plop down into any camp (that can have them) I think that is what we are really after, and this will get those ideas out there. Plus telling the devs we want interdependence always looks good.

I'm liking the idea of modular camps. I think there is more work that will need to be done but this is a proposal that should be sent to the Devs ASAP. The sooner you get something in front of them the sooner they can get to work on it. The end result may not be what NRaas has worked up, but it won't happen at all if it isn't proposed.

As an aside, SL grinds up through the camping tree as well. It would be nice to have something come of all that even if it means needing more survival xp to go upa Squad Leader tree.

"Plus telling the devs we want interdependence always looks good."

Aye, it shows we want to be reasonable in our goals, which I think lends credence to the proposal.

"there a way to just exclude the other profession from this for now?"

Too late... I have already invited the Squad Leader profession into the mix.

It would look odd, laying out the plan with only our half. It really does need both sides to stand.

We really have to go for this... I don't see much room for improvement with our old camp system. This is our best chance to get something that we can actually use and have fun with. If we stick w/ our old camps and just have a couple of bugs fixed it's still gonna leave us with our old useless large camps.

Well... This has definitely been an interesting thread.

Withsome of the nay-sayers to the proposal coming out and saying go with it, just to get the design in front of the developers.

I must admit, the proposal is audacious, and has little chance of surviving in one piece. But I guess the majority is willing to back the idea (even ifit only persuades the developers to fix the current system).

Quite interesting indeed.
