Thread: Some more (minor) droid tests

Ok, I finally got a droid on test and now that a "professional" harvestor tried one of these babies, it's review time.



  1. It harvests ONLY the body you designate.

  2. You cannot sequence commands. If the server has not told you it harvested, and you tell the droid to do the next one... you don't harvest the previous, you HAVE TO wait.

  3. no loot option. That wonderful /loot all;/harvest bone macro is going to server you better.

  4. will not draw aggro. You can drop the Reptillian Flyer, harvest it, all in full view of the 5 Rancors around it w/o fear.

  5. you cannot generate more harvest then you would normally. I got an R3 packed full and the skill mod is 103%. Pretty much the same as you would normally harvest. There is no you harvest-droid harvest benifit. It's you or the droid and then you're done.

  6. grouping with the droid DOES reduce harvest... but they claim to be working on that soon so that you don't loose harvest. It was also stated that grouping with pets would be fixed as well.

  7. I could pull out the droid with pets. The droid had a CL above what I normally could pull. I'm guessing that sense I bought a droid w/o any combat ability that they let you do that, which is good.

  8. The little bugger can go as fast as my speeder

From what I read on the DE boards, it sounds like the group harvest penalty has been removed if you are grouped only with pets. The way they described the harvest module over there is that it augments your skill, so having the droid harvest will give you a bonus to the amount harvested. Assuming that the harvest penalty has been removed, that alone could be a fairly good reason to pick up one of these droids!

Well if this is true,that is great. It will actually be a benefit to us, and the benefit will be based on your skill. So we won't be getting out harvested by lower level rangers/scouts.


But with Fred's number 5 above it sounds like it does not "augment" your ability or give you a bonus. The droid just harvests what you would with out it. Is this confirmed on its functionality?

If that is how it works, then again I state It's worthless to the true scout/ranger. Keep working on it devs. Keep it on TC for a while.

Definatly NOT what I'm seeing.






I would say it is based on your skill, not that it augments it. I.e. with a +100 mod, it harvests as much as you do, no matter what >0 harvesting modyou have.
