As an AS I'd have to say that I'd much rather see an increase to overall numbers. And I think that's smarter overall. It's the easiest change, it's the best for the customer AND you can still get the same affect as harvesting all 3 at once.
Consider a boost to 300% harvesting versus getting all 3 at once. With the former, you can "simulate" the latter by simply harvesting meat from one creature, bone from another and hide from the last one. The net result is the same as if you had harvested all 3 at once.
You lose out whenever a creature doesn't drop all 3 and you lose out big when your customer only wants one of three (which I have to imagine is most of the time) and the other stuff has poor stats (which also seems to be a lot of the time). As an AS I pay a lot of money (by TC prices anyway) whenever very specific stuff spawns and I tend to want as much as possible. If my suppliers can get me much more of that, that's great -- more hide for me and more cash for them. If they get some cruddy meat and bone along with the hide, that's just gonna sell cheap for someone to grind or rot in a house somewhere.
Also, increasing harvesting mods is supposedly a very easy change. HOpefully there is just a number somewhere in some database that needs to be tweaked. Changing the whole harvesting routine, etc., would probably be more difficult (and more difficult means more dev time and means that this is a more difficult idea to sell).
So all around I think you guys are best off pushing for increased harvesting mods, but that's just my 2 cents (as a player).

There's really no PvP aspect to this skill of course. I'd suggest the following though...
Rangers should negate group harvesting restrictions or in the very least provide a +1 at each levelto all group members (upto a maximum +10 for the group if there are multiple rangers).
Rangers should be granted the ability harvest a second resource at a loss of efficiency. Essentially give them a -50% penalty on the second resource they harvest.

My Suggestion for Harvesting:
- More resources per harvest - We are masters, We should be able to get a Masters harvest

- Harvesting Multiple types - 2 types at tracking 4, the CHANCE of All three types at master level.
- Trophy harvest - A master ranger has an option of Sacraficing the whole animal to harvest a trophy (certain animals only).
- Every Once in a While a Ranger should harvest an"Exceptional/Legendary" organic, With stats to reflect the amazing quality.
I Think these changes would Distinguish a Ranger harvest from a Scout harvest, and thats what weneed ![]()

How to make Harvesting more useful:
1st) A ranger has intimate knowledge about the creatures he hunts and shares some of the tricks with his fellows. -> a Ranger imparts a harvesting bonus on all group members.
2nd) Generaly increase the amount harvested by a Ranger significantly.
3rd) Give the Ranger the ability to harvest 2 resources from a creature (3 at master level)
4th) Harvestingbonus should extend to activities like Fishing, Collecting Eggs, Milking or Catching Molusk / Crustacean Creatures.
5th) A ranger should have it easyer to take down wild creatures, no matter what combat template he uses. This could be expressed by a "Creature Damage Bonus" recieved by Rangers which increases over the levels and is applyable to all weapontypes (melee and ranged). The intimate knowledge the Ranger has gained about his pray allows him to strike his pray with greater precission and to more effect than the average Hunter.
