I've noticed on TC peoplesaying you cannot Mask Scent while on a mount, perhapswe could give the whole camo line a real worth by allowing Masters to camo while on a mount?

Alfgand,

Personally, I don't agree that Rangers have to be defined by the Devs as just one type of character. While you see your Rangeras a Big Game Hunter, I see mine as a military type Antarian Ranger; willing to become life-bound to a Jedi Knight...when Ifinally find one. In the meantime I fight the Imperial presence that blights our freedoms.

My point is that we can both have our characters be what we want them to be. The genius of this MMOPG isthat we can mix and match from the availableprofessional skillsto createthe character profilethat reflect our own visions.

i think i will cry if we cannot even mask scent on a mount.... who the HELL wants to get on and off their mount to fight something every minute, dont we want a smooth, uninterrupted ride? we should be able to wave at mercenaries on Lok as we ride through their camp (as a master), shouldnt we?

"BUT I know Rangers are the only ones suffering from this HUGE IDENTITY crisis !"

Agreed. We really don't know what the developers actually intended for the profession.

  • Once we do, it would definitely help us determine what ideas will fly and which will flounder.

I will add the Big Game Hunter style to the Overview...

  • As well, I will ask the question as tohow the developers envision our profession.

"camo while on a mount"

I have done some testing on TC with the new "rent a mount" Jawas (very cool )

/maskscent and /conceal works while mounted.

  • The problem is you can not apply the skill while mounted, so if the player applies /maskscent and THEN mounts the creature you can get the effect.

Ensure to /bug the issue if you are on TC to get the issue escalated...

  • Hopefully we can get it changed before mounts are released.

NRaas,

I want to personally say thanks for all your hard work, and also to everyonewho helped, and submitted ideas. All these suggestions look awsome, and I personally hope to see them implemented into the game. I personally like the trophy, rugs, necklace idea. I actually wrote to SOE requesting that back soon after launch, although I got no respose. Most probably due to me not know exactlywho to send it to, but anyway Thanks again to everyone who looks out for us Ranger/Loner types. And thanks to the DEV's for all the hard work.

God save the Rangers!!!

Wow, I dont think that was long enough.... j/k Anyway while reading the (im a ex-ranger myself) part about the cabin and stash, I thought of a much better idea. Instead of semi-permenet placements, which i dont think youll ever get, how bout a temp one that has more use. How about a HUNTING BLIND!!!! Wow, think of how great that would be... 1-2 people or whatever in a blind (just like the ones real hunters use in RL) that would be used in hunting. Well thats about as far as I thought to. The rest is up to you guys.

"How about a HUNTING BLIND"

Yep, that is a great idea...

  • And since GreenMarine has already suggested the idea, I am sure its on the table for implementation.

You can read about the hunting blind in the following thread floated at the top of our forum:

Since you seem to be very active in posting responces within this thread, ill shoot my two cents in.

I LOVE the changes proposed for our class. Can you do a repost as to any kind of developer responce, as in they looked at your in yellow line of the proposal and they squashed it..or they loved it..or what.

Im at the point where i gotta decide if i wanna go master ranger or not, and im just curious as to what stuff is approved for change and what is just a wishful thinking list.

thanx

"Can you do a repost as to any kind of developer responce"

You have all the information that I have at the moment.

  • GreenMarine is busy tidying up Player Cities, and will probably be doing so into the next patch as well.

  • Thunderheart is hard at work trying to corral all State Reports together along with responses to said posts... Isuspect he will be working on that for a while yet.

----

Once Thunderheart completes his "first stage" of profession info gathering... I think we will see some more action from the red names...

  • Thoughhow this Master plan of his will unfold is slightly vague at the moment.
