I had a normal Grual, not a mauler.
I could swear it was taking 1k+ a HIT, so was the Rancor, they both always dropped in under 8 hits

Even so, they've made it harder once they moved it from the mission spawn. It was always a tough fight. Now it is tougher. And maulers had significantly better kinetic resists than normal grauls and rancors. That's why they were so popular. I was just using it as an examplebecause they were overpowered and would still only survive a small number of hits.

Pets were better but we only had 1 Graul, one Rancor (Neither could call more than one) and one Grand Wrix
Gorax tore through them like tissue paper anyway
Just to warn you, the Gorax has become a lot harder now. They took out the old quest way of spawning him and made him a lot harder. Even an old mauler would have trouble tanking him (it would take a few hundred damage a hit).

There were some scientists.
Trying to figure out theGorax riddle,
Then they figured out it was a missing link.
In search of Gorax,
that was a kick-ass In Search Of
with Leonard Nimoy
kickin' out the jams...ha!
He captured imagination,
Of people all around the globe.
His name was Gorax, so I'm told.
His legend's ancient
in the ancient scribe of the indian tribe.
Janta tribe.
Scientists have proven that the Gorax, he is real.
Take a look at the plaster cast of his foot, now you know he's real.
Listen real close to the audio tape, not human no you know he's real.
Couldn't be a man in gorilla suit, no **edit**in' way.
No, you know he's real.
Real, real, real real, real, real, really real, real.
Gorax,
We know your legend's real.
Gorax,
We know your love is real.
Gorax,
You and a Ranger revamp, are...real.

I was there when they were testing out the AT-AT's on TC. So while we all had a lot of fun with those (they made a REBEL AT-AT spawn for the imps to fight), a bunch of people left after the novelty wore off. However, one of the devs (i assume as a prank) released a giant Gorax in to the fray. If you've never seen an AT-AT battle a gorath....it truly is a sight. I wish I had the screenies for this (disbelief running so rampant) but my laptop has since fried itself twice playing SWG...requiring each time a minor equipment check and a hard drive format to restart. bleh.
But seriously...AT-AT vs. Gorath is great...espcially when it comes time to harvest the gorath (who EVERYONE targeted).

Xika Atzif, Master Ranger, here from the Naritus board. Weee'we this was the most fun ive ever had in this game!
we tracked 2 of them in a group of 9 with riflers, rangers, TKMs, Mswords, and BH's. it was so fun, we took it donw pretty fast though, everyone went after the mind pool and dropped it. no harvest which was odd, but you can loot gorax bone shards which are used in weaponmaking. the HAM was 500/400/500 we found it in the plains above the outpost which is appearntly where alot are being seen. I hope this helps! good luck guys
