"Our goal is to try to work through all the correspondent issues over the next week.

Am I reading something wrong into this? Holo was saying that they've already implemented the items from the commando correspondent report.... could this mean we could see ranger fixes withing a week or two?

WOW.. I'd be highly impressed...

::hopeful::

The changes to the Cammando are currently on TC. I infer that they hope to roll them out to Live "soon" (before the next "Publish")

It depends on the nature of the add as well mind you. Things like the commando were almost pure value changes. Some of our stuff may take awhile longer to implement, other stuff, I'd think, would roll out faster...but yeah, the commando stuff is already on test, so they are certainly working pretty quick on this stuff.

Well Zarn, I must admit that last post actually impressed me somewhat - your usual posts are pretty heavy on the sarcasm side

What I meant when I said 'read the whole post' was that Q said higher ups pulled the remaining reports for review - meaning it's not that he didn't have time, but was instructed not to post them at all (and from what I have seen, that's a pretty good idea).

I also agree that any real news would be good for Rangers, even if it is just acknowledgements, although I would certainly hope for something more at this point. I'm not planning on quitting just yet - the fact that I am getting zero responses to even simple questions from Q or the designer indicates to me they are either not at their desks to check email, answering correspondent questions is too low a priority right now, or they are just not answering really isn't helping matters. None of the other correspondents are hearing anything yet that I can tell, either.

The inattentiveness that went into this last patch and the contradictory things I have heard about it isn't really helping frustration levels, for the correspondents and the community both.

Whether or not I continue as a correspondent pretty much hinges on if they reply to any of the questions I have sent in, and what type of feedback we get when they do finally post the feedback. If I continue talking to the proverbial brick wall, well, you get the idea.

I am sort of split here.

I think SOE should have got these questions and concerns answered a long time ago. I think too many people had their expectations too high.

I feel that too many people expected that every thing they didn't like about a class was going to be changed because it was sent to the devs in an orginazed fashion.

I also feel that SOE SWG devs have their hands full and this corrispondant program is in an infant stage and has a lot of growing to do.

I do think that the responses so far should have been done in a bit more of a professional manner with alot more information tied to them. We are a customer here, we are the ones that pay their bills, we are the only thing that should matter to them. Give us a bit more of an effort then a 30 second answer for what the customer base feels are crippling their product. On the same note we as customers have to realize that will be be limits, there has to be.

A lot of this crap SOE has created and brought onto themselves, own up to it and make it right.

Never mind that...he only posted the Crafting professions..

Which brings up a point, what kind of profession are we? We're not crafting, and we sure as heck aren't combat, in a league of our own?

I know, I guess the non-crafting, non-combat professions will be last...

I can't wait to hear from them!

Phew! I've been lurking this forum for days now because my browser kept failing all the "reply" java code.

But now that I can finally reply, I find that most of what I've wanted to say has been said.

Instead, I'll just throw in my support for Mineras' good work. He clearly understands our plight, and is politic and articulate enough to deliver our needs to the devs (what the devs DO with that will remain to be seen).

Hang in there, Mineras, and don't relent. We Rangers may be a "mellow" profession, but we need a tactful bulldog to get our concerns communicated to devs, all the same.

Im really hoping that they reply soon, because it is this reply that will decided for me whether I play the ranger class anymore. My points are better spent in medic, and that is kind of pathetic.
