I really think you are wrong on this one JB. I am pretty sure the droid saw the 40% reduction (thats the nerf right?) when you were in a group. It just didn't cause a 40% reduction if it was the only thing you were grouped with.
Though I agree with JBs post... pretty much as always. I have to say that when this change was pushed for it was for the good of the profession. Honestly I don't remember the details as I think it was during my "hiatus" but I can say that there was no hint that this most recent bonus was going to go into effect. I think that's a decent enough reason to ask for it to be changed .... "you didn't tell us what you had planned so we didn't know the effect of what we were asking for."
At the end of the day I remain indifferent, I don't harvest with a droid and I still think this bonus was a bad idea, but because its negatively effecting those members of the community that do play with droids I'd like to see it fixed.

How can you agree with him though?
Everyone knows the droids did "see" the group penalty, and we all experience how they don't "see" the bonus know. In fact they still "see" the group penalty.

Oku Kee'lus I can tell you from my experiences that the devs want really detalied numbers/explanations when discussing. That's why JB asked for them, and that's why JB is saying that enough haven't been provided.

The DE community has submitted a number of /bugs on this issue along with contacting a number of QA to pass along relivent information on this issue. I submitted some rather detailed numbers on the issue of droids still suffering from the -40%, but as a 0040 Scout.
As for the issue of maximum droid rating, Veg, and Master Ranger, not adding up, it would not surprise me that the maximum skill rating is either capped at some unknown number, or is following some unknown rating curve.
Alldroid usage appears to be so far down on the list of bugs to fix that they aren't even a blip on the map of 'to fix' items unless many more people make a point of bringing up the issue time and time again. Droid usage effects one of the largest slices of the community, yet has the largest number of overall 'profession' related bugs. Droids are extremely Star Warsy, yet are mostly left out of the loop.
I appoligize for a semi-hijack here, but unless the people who also use droids also bring up the subject, through /bug reports, this issue, along with every other droid use related issue will go unexamined and unfixed. If you don't beleive me, take a look at the Centralized Droid Issues thread, on the DE forum.

All true... but I'd rather if we could agree on the fact that it's actually a bug.
Numbers don't matter in this case. JB isn't disputing that droids suffered the grouping penalty when used in a real group but he's not agreeing that the reverse should hold true now. That's the core issue in regards to the system. The actual numbers in regards to veghash, harvest droids, grouping bonuses, soft- and hard caps etc. those are a different matter...
It's never been a problem before discussing these issues here. Not much use in us using /bug and posting on the bug forum when the Correspondents involved don't acknowledge that it's an issue when they're asked on the Cor. Forums, no?
I think the harvesting in a group thing is now recognized as a bug.

Okay. I just thought he reported the fact that droids seem to hit a hard cap after the +60 increase we got.
