Fair enough SBJ,

so limit it to field bases, I mean thats the point, to have a 'field' base.....you have to be able to heal battle fatigue in a field base somehow, I think an entertainer should be able to perform at a base, and that the base should have a way to let you wind down as well.

As a master Ranger I agree with several of the propositions. The only ones I disagree with is the "modular" approach to creating camps and making polymer used again. The camps are fine the way they are. Why make things more complex? We are not artisans. If you want a "modular" approach to crafting with hard to get materials, become an artisan. The camp crafting system is just fine as I see it. All camps should always use hide and bone (we do harvest these things for a reason, do we not?)

I do like the other ideas. I have had many people come into my camp and want to play star wars chess on the chess board, that would be pretty nice! And I would like to see the rain not come into my covered camp for the luv a' pete!

All camps are made from hide and bone. It was fine the way it was with our camps being made withmetal and polymer. Having it changed to hide and bone and not even being told about it was quite annoying. Want to buy some polymer?

I would just like to thank the Correspondent of the Ranger prof for you do some very good work and I have enjoyed reading the Ranger forum for it seems a friendlier lot than some.

Instead of taking away from a class lets add more to others. This means more options and more power. Instead of taking away from the game lets give.

Thanks NRass, that was great. I especially liked the whole "Ranger House" idea. I believe that was once suggested back in the start of the game's launch, sort of a house of Hide-idea, hehe.. but it'd make sense. Figure, we live out in the wilderness, why not be able to have a Ranger-looking home? The whole new looted idea was good too, fine work.

I just now read the top 5 and it is great!!

On making Base camps using Polymer and Metal it does not matter one way or the other. I like it takeing hide and bone so that I use the resources I harvest otherwise as a Master Ranger I would never harvest. If they did change it back all you have to do isfind a resources seller. For some reason people love to just collect resources and sell them to people. I also defenitly agree with BF being heal at HTBC since they are better equip then the outposts on Dathomir and they can heal BF. And hell in anchorhead the med bay and cantina are one room. Who the hell can relax when you are sitting next to some guy bleeding to death!!

Onanother note, I am not sure how many of you have brought out the High Tech Field base campwhile overt and saw that you can requisition Buildings and Weapons from it, and so can other overts. While this is a neat idea some idiot decided to place a 14% increase on the cost. So, why use your faction pts at a 14% cost when you can just use them at a recruiter and carry the stuff around with you....mmm...

It wouldalso be neat if when I tossed out a base camp while overt if the flags changed to my faction. Maybe even go as far as to sell faction HTBC that rangers can us FP on the would look Diffrent for rebel/imperials and would let people declare Overt/Covert status at.

Ohh and one last thing that bug the crap out of e is the To-creature hit bonus. I am a master ranger master Fencer, so this bonus is completely a waste for me as it only works for Ranged people!!Can someone explain why ranged combat get a bonus and I do not? I can swing my weapon with a basic swing I should get the bonus also.

I aggree with alot of the suggestions, and look forward to them being fixed, but i have a few that i havent seen;

why cant i lay down on my cots in the camp?

why cant i actually go inside the camp tent? (allowing for a conceal modifier for visual aggro creatures, including NPC's and PC;s)

why not add a weapon or generic crafting station to the high tech camp kit, since thats what we need to craft camps and eqiup? (with the ability to experiment) or allow us to carry and place a crafting station in our camp if we want to.

allow stim paks that require meat, hide and bone to be crafted by master scouts or rangers (limit them to stim a's or equivelent)

have the ability to create a permanent master camp, that allows you to pay maintenence, store items and create a mechanical vendor to sell scout/ranger collected/specific items.

just some ideas!

The crafting idea is this: the Camps are set up so that one can recoup....what you are essentially saying is that we should all carry enough stuff to make other crafting stations that we may not need.

Personally, the chem crafter is the best idea: It lets us heal (which is what the camps are intended for)

I do like the idea of the camp taking on the Reb/Imp look when overt...nice touch
