Levels are still rancid, lame, and weak. At least the current way they are working out on TC.
But if they do this right at least we will survive until the Revamp.

TBH... I don't like level system. Skillsystem is much more fun.
I understand a need for a certain method of comparing (ie levelling), but it should not include weapons (as I read/understood it). That's a bad evolvement ![]()

Thanks to Owen and all the others who stated our case so well.
I was strongly considering leaving the game, but may be persuaded to stick around now.

Heres an interesting thought: What if I am a Master Ranger and decide to go TK and no longer be Rifleman? I drop Rifleman down to nothing and pick up novice brawler. What level will I be able to fight now? Gonna be interesting to see how it goes...

Im fine with it. Its the change of the devs perception which is the main thing you need to consider. We are a combat profession and the devs realise this hehe.
Owen I find it hard to post the proper words to express how proud I am of all the work you and Calc have done on our behalf. This is the first step in the right direction for the Ranger profession. Here's to more success for Rangers. A pint on me.
DITTO! Thanks guys!

Well done everyone and especially to Owen and Calc. It's an important step forward.
Let's keep up the pressure, keep it polite and factual and hopefully the devs will be amenable to our pleas.
Is there a transcript of the chat that can be read anywhere?

YES! WOOOHOOOO!
Finally!
Been gone for 2 days moving my sister to her new house, I am SO glad to hear this.
I haven't seen a transcript of the chat yet but am overjoyed we are finally getting recognized.
Congrats to Owen and Calc for all their hard work and awesome job to ALL the Rangers who have peppered all the boards with constructive posts pointing out the glaring problems of our situation.
I know a few of my posts bordered on the insane ramblings of a mad man, but I know many of you sent in reams of TC data and such, (WildBil2me, you know I mean you)
GREAT WORK RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!

This was the news alot of us needed to hear to make us stay in the game. I really feal its a shame that the devs didn't communicate this to Owen though.
Our community has been on a whole, mature and logicalwhen it comes to dealing with the powers-that-be. Ihowever cannot help but feal slightly insulted that they (the powers-that-be) treat us in many cases worse than the groups out there that act immature and uncivil. I think thatit is time that the Ranger community should be extended the same courtesiesby the devs, that we extend to them. All we are asking for issome communication.
Please extend to us the same degree of respect (or at least 5% of it) that we show you. Please keep the lines of communication open withOwen and Calc so that they, in turn, can keep us informed. As many in the corporate and military world will tell you there is a certain level of distillation of information that needs to occur between layers, but the bottom line is that information must flow.
edit: I hate my laptop keyboard... really I do.
