Yep Boogaz that's about what my Ranger will look like when I'm done as well.

Might even get rid of the High tech camp skill as well. Pretty, but I never use it anymore.

Actually, of the ranger traps, the sonic pulse is good. I hunt with guildies a lot,and once the agro is on the melee or the pets (after I've dropped glow-wire, adhesive mesh, and a phecnacine dart on the mob) I hit it with the sonic pulse. The stun and dizzy are very nice and help reduce the damage the tank takes.

Rescue, flash bomb, and sonic pulse haven't done anything for me but it's been a long time since I used them. I wasn't aware that they were fixed. The issue was, at least, that these effects were negated the second that anyone attacked the creature. I assumed that the whole branch of that tree was bugged when the changes were made 4 or 6 weeks ago.

Adhesive mesh and glow-wire are definate staples though. I will re-look at rescue, flashbomb, and sonic pulse tonight. I must have missed the fix announcement.

So I can get to the end of at least one branch of pistoleer. Also, I've found that /doubletap is better than /stoppingshot even. For every one /stoppingshot I can fire off, I can get in 3 /doubletaps. Avg /stoppingshot dmg: 800. Avg /doubletap dmg: 450.

This may have been posted....

My apologies if it has....I don't have time to read all the threads.

Don't discount entirely the....improved crawling speed.

As a CH as well it makes taming "aggro" creatures much easier...especially when a baby is surrounded by many adults.

You can keep up with them when they decide to wander away during the taming process.

As for giving up a tree....NO WAY!!!....LOL! (I'll wait for additions and improvements).

being a soloist ranger[1-2-4-3] i have to say wayfaring, true! traps hardly work but it dose help against the bigger animals WHEN they work, and hopefully swg will give us better traps so we can kill the bigger creatures, being a pistoleer[0-3-0-1]it's bad when u have a hard time killing aniamls that are blue star to you[i us a dx2 100-156 w/power up i can get a 100-206] frontering is good for me to heal [again being a soloist] health and mind wounds and high tech camp has a .95 heal ratio i believe so the better the camp the faster the heal,i have lvl 2 heal entertainer skill to help mind wounds[ i wished it helped battle fatique,] but soon ill be dropping it, need the pts. in stead of having the food and chemical station in the camp i would like to see swg come up w/ a droid muscian lvl 1-2 heal [so not to take away from master entertainers] to heal our b.f in the field.may even a droid medic low lvl. to heal us alittle faster.had 120+ con.wound took about a hour to heal in camp, not to take away from the medic profession but a true ranger of lore was able to heal there wounds, in fact i rather have heal bleed, posions wounds in a ranger tree then the cameo kits, again a ranger could heal those wounds they obtained while hunting. sorry dragged on, still waiting to see a true ranger in a rpg type game

Wayfaring without hesitation would get dropped.

While the ranger traps may be less than ideal, the line still gives bonuses to trapping, even if all i ever use is phecnacine dart.

tracking is by far the best line for rangers, the ability to find X creature allows the ranger to play support in parties and allows for gathering of specific hides/meats/bones while soloing.

frontiering... yeah, we have neat camps. why is it good? (shrug) they look neat, and get the "wow's" from others.

wayfaring... woot, we crawl fast... go go us! (frown) conceal res are just too time consuming to acquire. if the res needed were abundant in the markets, sure... but alas, they aren't, so we basically get crawl, unless u really like to collect some obscure res.

In reviewing the skill tree, I trained to 4/0/4/0. I saw no benefit in becoming a MR, and I saw no benefit in the additional traps or camps. Wayfaring and Tracking, on the other hand, were totally sweet.

However, in reviewing the camo kit requirements (even without the floral requirement being eliminated), I decided to dump Wayfaring and most of Tracking. I'm currently 0/0/1/0. There was nothing in Ranger to keep me interested, and even the upcoming changes on TC weren't enough to keep me interested. I still hate the camo kits, have no need to track people, and frankly find Tracking I the only truly useful skill in the class.

I realize lots of folks will disagree with me, but having climbed Wayfaring a couple of times, to compare with my Master Scout abilities, I decided I'd rather have the skill points back because the Terrain Negotiation benefits just weren't enough. And considering I'll be riding a dewback soon...
