Dunno. COuld maybe just have been more diplomatically put.

"While we have every sympathy for out CH colleagues, this thread would really be better in the CH forum where it would help add to the force of the argument there...." or something

Well - maybe so, but honestly, every time there's a new update, I can pretty much expect a long series of posts here, usually from the same two people, complaining about something or another. I mean, there's always the requisite "ranger didn't get any updates" thread, which I can sort of deal with, even if I don't understand why the poster didn't think to raise the issue when the TC notes were first put up, and then there's threads like this, which are just versions of the same old "devs are incompetent" rants that we all read over and over and over whenever a new update comes through.

Only in this case, the poster didn't even take the trouble to insert a few of the token complaints about ranger. I mean, if I have to wade through another one of these threads on this forum, is it too much to ask that the content of the thread specifically address the ranger profession?

In this case, pets have nothing more to do with ranger than they do with any other profession. Yes, people do hunt with pets, but can't you argue that every other profession hunts with pets as well?

Would a post about CH bugs be applicable in the weaponsmith forum, because you could use the same logic there - I mean a weaponsmith can hunt with a pet or a droid, so why not go post there as well? Yes, a lot of rangers are CH's, but a lot of rangers are carbiners or pistoleers or riflemen as well -- does that mean that we should start posting those issues here, esp. when there are forums dedicated to those professions as well? Sure, some rangers do feel an affinity with CH, but I feel an affinity with my YT-1300, but does that mean I should post here if it breaks?

Yes, I do have a lot of empathy for people whose stuff is broken by the latest update, but I don't think it's too much to ask that we only have temper-tantrums in the ranger isle about ranger-specific issues.

Please let me slap you aroudn with my b*tchstick so you can eat your own words... In this case, pets have nothing more to do with ranger than they do with any other profession. Yes, people do hunt with pets, but can't you argue that every other profession hunts with pets as well?

Maybe you didn't NOTICE, but the lair bug is NOT affecting RANGERS ONLY! As there are many OTHER professions also using the same. So IMHO that is not Ranger specific EITHER...

In fact I beg to DIFFER. I think the lairs bug is LESS important because I like to HUNT for creatures. That is: not tapping a lair when I don't HAVE to. It's important for other (grinding) professions then for me as being a Ranger. Do you, as a RANGER take missions for a lair? At least I don't TRY to, if I don't have to.

So why shouldI post about THAT particular item if it is more an issue to NON rangers (as I see it). Sure you can see it different, but that is NO reason to burn my post with a good concern which affects ALL.

Ow and please, if you are so disgusted by my way of posting, why bother to respond...

JPFreeman posted about this on the CH forum. Basically the fact it wasn't fixed before going live was a mistake. I believe there was miscommunication in the office about what was being patched in, and it will be hotfixed. He even apologized, which is basically all you can do. Take ownership, apologize, and fix it. Hopefully we will see that in the next few days, as well as a conversion for the 1(0) Creatures who get converted.

I had one of those after the BE revamp. A big rancor that basically allowed me to group him and my other level 68 rancor together and get anymission I wanted. I never used him for anything but getting missions though, since I didn't want to loose him. The CU pet conversion came alo;ng and made an honest wookiee out of me though. I am hoping whatever conversion system that saw him as an illegal pet and converted him is still in play.
