While it is not directly Ranger related, the bug also affects non-ch pets and combat droids, I believe. I think its more relevantthan some of the stuff that appears on here, tbh!

I'm sorry, but the last time I checked, there was nothing in the ranger skill trees having to do with pets or droids, etc.... Then I wonder what certain other thread (you go look thru them) have at ALL to do with ranger, since some of them are not even GAME related... Yet I don't hear you complaining about those...

not complaining - just trying to suggest that maybe these sorts of threads would have more impact if they were actually posted in more relevant forums.

OTOH

as far as I remember, rangers DO hunt with pets and this bug does affect out pets, so, yeah, should be here too.

And, having said that, here's an issue in P19 that DOES directly affect rangers:

Lairs have a max health of 1500. You can oneshot kill a CL80 creatures lair (with a stormingly good rifle) before the critter even goes ? let alone ! for full weapon XP (none of that 1XP per lair rubbish) and, if its your mission lair, you'll also get full payout.

How does this affect rangers? Well, you take a group out to hunt, some gonzo rofleman 'taps' the lair, bye bye to milking the lair for spawns. Workaround, if you really need one and aren't going to jump on the janta-lair like bandwagon, pack a CDEF pistol to tap lairs with and make sure the group know that nobody has to kill the lair too soon...

personally, I'd go for the money.

Well - this is exactly my point - the CH issue is not specific to ranger. It only affects ranger inasmuch as ranger is a subset of the all players group, not the other way around. So, your post would have been more appropriate in the core systems forum, the CH forum, or *gasp* the bug thread.

The last time I checked, there are no creature handler lines in either the scout or the ranger skillset.

And if you're going to change the subject to address the lair issue, then please edit your original post. You don't mention lairs or ranger in your original post. Just CH and ROTW.

She did, I did, I posted this in 2 different days bug threads (couldn't /bug it because TC-Ahazi bug was non-functional - also bugged) when it was on TC and it got either ignored or passed-off as having been fixed because they worked on somethign else that had something to do with this.

This might be in-part related to the fact that when a Ranger examines a creature now, it shows as CL0 and guess what, in our datapad it's CL0 also, even though in-world it's CL-whatever. This might be because the natural creature has a natural level and the artifical level based off the mission level, thereby providing 2 different MOB levels.

I'm MCH/MR also, so basically my damage output with a decent laser rifle is less than the regen rate of creatures I would try to attack resulting in a 15 minute battle.
