Hmmm, interesting discussion.

I'm currently a MCH w/ Novice Pistoleer (Surrendering Artisan and Medic skills as I head up Ranger tree). Once I hit Master Ranger, in addition to MCH, advanced weapon skills will be hard to come by, in fact I'll be pretty much limited to Novice Pistoleer/Rifleman/Carbineer with maybe one or two extra boxes.

Even though my pets are my main weapons, I'm going to have to take a look at the specials for the different weapons to decide which I want long term.

I am nearly master carbineer (4-4-4-3) and pretty high in CH (3-2-1-4) and I dabble in ranger (0-2-4-0) i love the overall effectiveness of this combo. With ranger i can make field bases (great for hunting parties), track babies for taming and creatures for hunting (or players hehe) and once found i can send my pets in to attack the creatures and while they are all attacking my pet i open up with my AOE attacks...laying to waste tons of creatures at once. And then its big harvest time!
