I have to admit that when I do get any sort of cash flow going... I end up buying a bunch of stuff for the house (damn rare items) or I buy presents for my guild mates. But I usually never go below 100k now. Getting a ship really helps too... except for shuttle ports.

i got about 2.8 mill.

I finally bought myself a decent harvesting droid, so finally i can start harvesting like mad. I have only done about two large contracts, both of which got me about 1mill. I have been playing off and on, but now that im near master ranger, master rifleman. i am planning on harvesting like a mad mother.

I know what you mean. I seem to have an armor habit that is getting out of hand. I have two UBER NS composite suits that I paid over 2mil for each set. However, that doesn't mean I regret it... I LOVE my UBER comp!

I remember the first time I brought in a big haul of credits. I sold 75k worth of UBER wooly at 150cpu. That's how I first broke past the 10mil mark.

Do you have people that are always buying from you or are you just selling stuff on the bazaar? I think the real issue us under-a-mill people have is that we don't know the ins and outs of selling organics..

The only way I really know how to make big cash with my ranger is to hopefully find someone in a starport advertising X cpu for X resource and go after that... I usually just watch for high quality spawns on swgcreatures.com but I always catch myself thinking, "if i go nuts harvesting this stuff, I hope someone buys it" then I don't even bother..

I have one primary source of income and one secondary (with tracking and other random stuff as distant tertiary sources).

Primary: I hunt an organic that is listed by a buyer in a mass email or on my server's trade forum. eg. buying current tat wooly (name) at 50cpu. Please drop any amount off at my vendor, 5cpu bonus for 10k stacks or more.

Secondary: when nothing good is in spawn and I have nothing better to do, I hunt grind quality stuff - usually rancor b/c of the high harvest and high xp. I never have trouble getting rid of a large stack of grind bone/meat/hide. I can't alway dump it immediately, but with a little effort, I'm good. If you have a large stack of, let's say, wooly, contact a tailor on your server and see if they're interested.

I spend most of my "working" hours on the primary method since that is usually more than enough work in a reasonable shift period. I've been doing more of the secondary method now that I'm working on jedi (casually).

I strongly suggest you get in touch with other rangers on your server. They can help tell you who is buy what and often have a buyer who's order they can't fill on their own. They can tell you who has a good/regular mass email list for hunters and are also great partners for discussing current spawns. Join your server's RIN and do it now!!

A final thought for you... and I realize I'm starting to ramble on a bit here... is to work with a few other hunters to put a resource vendor out there. You could put all your grind quality stuff there (go for the big stacks, they're what sell!!!!) and then sell your contract-hunt stuff directly to buyers. Just a thought for you.

Hopefully this helps you avoid the need for a financial planner. Oh, a tip, hunt 1 spawn at a time and do so until it shifts. Having 10 small stacks of different resources is WAY less useful/valuable than 1 stack 10 times the size.
