No Dave, the first changes were that anyone in a group got 20% increase. We got that changed to a ranger gives 30% and 40% for master rangers. The original design changed after it hit TC and data was presented.

I hear what you're saying, but that's not what I meant. They may have modified it, but that isn't retracting the idea, and retracting is what I was meant.

Takingthe harvesting bonusas a case in point: even with that modification they still stuck to what they said about it "not being a reward for being a ranger", as rangers, we don't get that extra ranger bonus without having another ranger in the group.

Anyway, I digress, I'm just making the point, that it does seem, that once they make a decision to put something live, they have a mind-lock about taking anything back. They may modifiy and tweak things, but the questionable principals ofthe changes they make are still left intact.

I didn't use buffs or uber armour, so why did the combat revamp have to spoil my game?

Oh i dont want them to retract the idea, i understand how much of an issue it is for non-coms and something needs to be done about it. It just needs changing or developing to the point it doesnt hand out camo skill to everyone and instead reinforces our profession rather than reduce its uniqueness.

I think we can do that with mask scenting kits. Something definatly needs to be implemented along these lines but handing out an elite skill to everyone is just wrong imo, it should be a benefit to being in group or close proximity to a ranger (short term buffs) rather than a anywhere and anyone skill.

I'm a CH, and I'm fine with this idea. You forget, that adding high level droids also adds power to the CH as well. As a CH, you can have your 70 levels of pet out, and in addition, 1 droidand1 faction pet. Increase the level of the droid, you aren't hurting the CH, you just give them more firepower to work with, and yougive the DE's(and frankly, a lot of customers) what they want, real combat droids.

The only real issue that I can see is that some hardcore CH might not like the idea of having a powerful droid, because they want to handle creatures, not droids, blah blah blah. Well, frankly thats their choice. Same choice I make when I use weaker weapons with my combat profession just because they look cool.
