I think we all know this, but I want to reiterate that all of this talk about cybernetic implants is a nothing but heresay and conjecture. The devs have not stated anywhere, that I am aware of, that anything of this sort will be implemented. This is just a discussion based on some recent threads started by Rangers.

Cybernetic enhancements if they have all the...shall we say gravitas of the Ghost in the Shell borgs. For get the animators name, but those 'borgs are not very light on their feet. Watch 'em slow down their speeders, crack pavement, and fall through floors. You know, the fun stuff.

I'd much prefer to retain 100% flesh and blood status myself. Jokes to the contrary involving gas powered, rip cord ignition vribopelvis are just that, jokes.

In theory:

The cybernetic implantation (Deus Ex) style

Internal modifications, such as poison filters, engineered antibodies for resists in poison and disease, ocular implants for night vision, bone weaving for strength.. resists... you get the idea.

True, the implants and cybernetics is very star warsy. However, none of the implants ive seen have actually improved the capability of the character.

Luke: lost his hand.. replaced (Boba Fett shot it and it got broke)

Vader: more machine than man... (utterly dependant on life support)

Im not saying that i dont like the idea, i think that its an interesting idea if well implemented. But im not jumping up and down about it.

...shall we say gravitas of the Ghost in the Shell borgs. Forget the animators name...

Masamune Shirow is the manga artist the anime and movies are based upon.

Eh...we all know the Rangers are taking over..I recruited another one today...he lives in a stupid time zone, so he probably won't interfere with normal traffic). I do expect to be banned for the server someday .
