Mineras -

Love it. I surf around a lot of the other boards and many people are unhappy with the amount of effort their correspondants give their respective class. Not rangers : )

I hope that you could bring up the idea of tracking. Its a ranger trademark.

Thanks for goin to bat for us, us Rangers need to stick together.

Excellent job of representing us.

thanks alot.

Just one note. If you did touch on it and I missed it, I do appologize. But, entertainers still cant alleviate battle fatigue in camps......

Great job. As a minor issue, I'd like to suggest the Field Bases being permanant until the player logs off, lasting through combat and distance. Still only allowed to have one. Possibly implement a way to disband the camp without being right there since it would be permanent. Or make the old one disband when you put a new one up. I know it's rather minor but I think it would help add more value to the Ranger profession.

Element,

I understand your concerns. I'd like to see several of the skills you mentioned. But it is very hard to determine what skills the Ranger really needs in order to become more balanced with the other elite professions when the base skills are still broken. Once we get what we have fixed, then it will be time to start moving towards the things we need. You are addressing balance issues, and you are correct, I am addressing bugs. At this stage, bugs are a priority over balance. This is going to take a little time to get sorted out.

Q-3PO did respond to my submission, albeit a very brief : thanks, since the correnspondent feedback program is new, it may take us a while to get back to you.

I am hoping for something more concrete this coming week, but either way, I will continue to advance with reporting the top 5 outstanding issues.

Nice job Mineras

I can confirm that the Ranger High Quality camp is not repelling agressive creatures .. and neither are any of the Scout ones if it comes to that.

Any response/acknowledge from the Devs on this yet? I see nothing. Minor and not critical Scout tweaking is all i see.

That, and Q-P0's instant willingness to hand off one of our Hunting skills (challenge level con) to CH, a prof that earned us our maskscent nerf.. sigh.

I am getting annoyed...

Let me first of all jump on the bandwagon in saying "Thanks Mineras."

Second, in response to a comment by Element re: giving Rangers a shot to scatter creatures et al. I believe we need to really resist the urge to peg the Ranger as a ranged weapon user. The Ranger profession needs to be equally accessible by both melee oriented combatants, ranged oriented combatants and even (though unfeasible IMO) non-combatants. (Good luck getting scouting exps without getting a combat skill). Certain bonuses given to Rangers like the creature-to-hit bonus need to work equally well for all combatants. And no skill should be based on an assumption or a requirement that the Ranger is skilled in one particular form of combat.
