Thread: Belligerent Rangers
Completely out of context, but I didn't think the search function extended to the entire planet as I can't recall ever finding players in other cities.

Is Bloodfin an unofficial roleplay server? That could account for a lot. Granted, I have had more good than bad, but the bad REALLY stand out. 
Valcyn disappoints me sometimes... I used to be on Starsider, but with all the server problems it was having at the time, I just couldn't take it anymore and decided to move. The decent proportion of players I run into make me want to stay out of cities. I don't know.. maybe it's just me. I come from the original generation of gamers from the beginnings of EQ and Ultima Online, where the good people outweighed the bad. I give out as much respect and friendliness as I can.. all I ask is a little in return. Is that so much to ask?
On the whole, though... I have met only a few (I can easily count them on HALF a hand) rangers on Valcyn that I didn't easily warm up to. Karae and Neidre, if you're reading you should speak out because you're both great.

Actually, Bloodfin is the unofficial PvP server, so I expected MORE idiots. That's why I was so floored.
I really think that the changes that were made got a lot of people excited about Ranger, and that increased the number of 8 year olds playing our profession. This resulted in the inevitable change in attitude of lower level scouts and the appearance of a lack of maturity - because it came fromthose who don't have hair on their weewees.

Those of you who say it is wrong to take tips, I disagree. I tipped back when tipped in the beginning and offended someone very badly. It almost started an argument before I could explain that I was giving the training for free. I have NEVER wanted for AP.
Look at it like this, if I tell you in advance that I don't want payment and you tip me anyway, that is YOUR choice. On that note, If I tell you I want money that is my call. You can go find someone else to train you if you want. I don't agree with charging but that is the option of those that have the skills.
If a waitress tells you that tips aren't required but you liked the service, you tip. If she gives it back to you, it just doesn't feel right. I provide service with a joke and a smile, I don't need money but if someone wants to tip after I say it isn't needed then so be it.
