i agree you gotta allow mounts. the CHs have been nerfed enuff and besides most mounts cant go that fast except when galloping and how often can you do that? other than that i think its a great idea.
oh yeah and this would also make docs useful somwhere besides the starports.

There's no logic in being able to bring a bantha to a planet but not a speeder, sorry. If vehicles would have to go, so would mounts. It's not a question about nerfing a profession like CH, it's about making these planets what they're supposed to be, dangerous ( and restricted due to Imperial presence ).
I would have loved for the SE to actually restrict access to these planets without a smuggler but that didn't happen :/
There are no "adventure" planets in SWG anymore. Vehicles were/are a great addition and they're very Star Wars. Their implementation and effect on the game though is sad, I'm more restricted in putting up a small tent ( no_build ( it's not permanent!!)), lairs, etc. ) than people are in pulling a speeder out of thin air.

/agree for the most part
i had high hopes that jtl would severely limit access to the adventure planets. i still hope that they implement such restrictions (only one "ticketable" starport, vastly increased fees, etc). &, speaking as a rebel, i agree that it would be a great idea to make easy access tospeeders (i'd allow mounts if only just to represent "the localguy you can rent a donkey from" when you are out in the rain forest irl)limited to imperials.
though i would very much like to see an option for non-imp players to hire a pc smuggler in order to transport their speeder planetside. jtl & the ground game are in dire need of having some effect on one another, & i think that this would be a great start.

I really like this idea. Allowing mounts but not vehicles would be preferable, but there is the problem that if you cant take a speeder, how are you taking an animal?
I think one solution would be have some sort of smuggler's area 500-1000m or so from starports where they've smuggled in babycreatures and trained them as mounts. All your mounts and vehicles would be gone from your datapad, however you can "rent" one. It spawns when you pay for it, you hop on, and you better have stims, cause if it gets incapped, you're back to walking. They'd be pretty basic, no special attacks, maybe 3k HAM and mid range resists (you'll need it most likely), and, it only has a 'follow' command. It cant attack for you, and wont guard you like your pet would. Different planets would maybe have different varieties. Perhaps instead of smuggling them in, they've been tamed from around the planet (Brackasets on Dathomir, Blurrgs or Bordokson Endor, etc...) That could be fun because you could get creatures that arent normal mounts.

so how would you propose calling other pets if you cant call mounts i would say that .......hmmmm yes this would nerf CH pretty badly. so bad in fact that CH would have no place there at all.
