Sure a Master Ranger can harverst more then a bounch of novice scouts. But there are some targets where you are screwed anyway. Let's say Endorian or Dantooinian wooloy hide for example. A solo group of 4-5 novice scouts can get 200k in a buff session at the rate of kills they go thanks to the group bonus. The best wooly hide come out from tatooine in my experience. What about beeing at the KG POI kneel with your T21 out, droid out, veghash in the stomach hitting one bantha after the other and you see 3 swordsmans coming to the banthas, killing all the animals and destroying the lair before all the animals can come out and swoop away in less than 1min? Not the time to shout "Hey? It's my target!". Happened to me also on Yavin when I was on avian meat there.
Those are the novice scouts in action. Anyway I'm scout 4000 with my Jedi for the terrain negotiation/maskscent benefits. I kill hundreds of animals alone (never groupped other than my pet) and harversting them I get hundreds of k hide/bone that I'm still selling at 5-10:1. I get more cash here than with my alt-hunter (Scout 4040).
The specialized hunters still have advantages on low level targets and targets that you can find rarely. Let's say corellian avian meat for example where they are screwed for their low ability and interest (less weapon exp-combat exp).
I'm not complaining here that I'm not able to get 200:1 contracts anymore and I have to hunt for 100:1. The fact is that the contracts go for 30:1, 35:1 if I'm lucky. I don't waste hours on dathomirian avian meat for 35:1. I had a list of 4 docs and I used to work for them all the time.One doesn't play anymore. The second is not doc anymore. The third is not replaying to my mails since 3 weeks and the Forth lowered the prices from 100-200:1 to 30:1 for any target.
Only the milk has not changed, it's still 50:1 if stats are not horrible. But it's not the best to harverst if not from dantooine or tatooine.
I'm not going to surrender my harversting ability. I'll see what the next weeks will bring. In the while I'm going to camp the best loot caves to keep high the morale.

Well still here after a trip in the doc profession forum.
It seems the docs are in a worste situation than hunters. They all are very afraid about the CU. Maybe this is an axplanation of recent prices.
