Vague recollection of reading that the 4 item armour 'bug' had been fixed. Is that not the case?
(Cos if it's not I've got these NS bits and bobs and some 'nice' resources horded that I was saving till the day I went AS...)

I like padded as well - it looks different and is much, much lighter (especially if sliced). I'm a swordsman/Ranger, so armor is a must; I think I'm going to check out Ubese after reading your posts.

Well I saw a set of ubese I could wear unbuffed today but that would really make all my stats quite low. I think the tantel/mabari with NS enhancements sounds good. I'd also like to try out a suit of 80% kin 50% eng padded.
Jeez I just cant wait to finsih grinding my char!

The real benefit from composite is the durability and especially so when you wear a full suit of armor. Composite is ugly as hell though at 40k on condition with base kinetic at 80% it's easily the best to wear. Add in that if you change areas (going from agros that do kinetic to those who do acid) you'll be fine along with the times that random NPCS decide to jump into the fight. Another thing about wearing a full suit is that Jantas, Mokks, Night Sisters and a few other NPCs are known to attack your action pool which is directly linked to the pants. Since the release of JTL many stackers have noticed that their action goes down faster than before and this is because the normal armor holes aren't guaranteed to work (i.e. running only helmet, boots, gloves, chestplate) as the chance for NPCs (and even creatures) targeting specific pools has increased. There's also that nasty bug running around where the damage received completely ignores your armor resists and hits you for full damage. The whole argument about HAM costs is flimsy as with buffs over 2k to your secondary pools negates the costs of your armor under any circumstance outside of the mind pool.

I have the same template as your Rudin character, I don't wear much armour and don't use buffs for day to day hunting, I do use a lot of stat food though and I get +20 melee defence from my clothes. Food is 1 brandy, 1 accaragm, 3* ahresa. I do powerboost also. I have a pair of ubese boots which have a +4 melee defence AA and a PSG which is 47% kin, 26% energy. I got the PSG to protect me when npc's start shooting at me.
I get a buff for guild hunts to the Geo cave and places like that of course.

I looked into this a little bit last week on the armorsmith forum.....
Two suggestions were:
1)Night sister shard mabari - made by a good 12 pointer.....this is apparently nearly weightless!
(seriously)
2)If u can find someone who can make (good) Tantel i believe it can reach 40%(?more) kinetic with
NO vulnerabiltes. Its again super-light (and under-rated) but only covers Head,Chest &Feet.
Both the above give light armor protection with some resists and are VERY-LOW HAM. Obviously aimed
at unbuffed/food buffed fighters with some brains and tactics though
P.S. The no armor approach saves u the difficulty in finding/commissioning the above - which in the
comp/ubese world may be tricky......
OSNA (farstar)
AHHH it's called Tantel armour, thankyou
