I think this is one of those fine occasions for actually flaming someone on the ranger boards, not for his original request, but for the way he reacted to the responses.

Hehehehe. Yep this is exactly why I don't track for jedi, or anyone anymore. The first time I was asked, I think I was on Naboo hunting avian meat. Was asked to track a peko peko albatross. I politely told them I was working on a contract at the moment. He asked me again, And again I told him I was occupied and then I would help him when I had finished what I was doing first. He proceeded to bribe me. I told him I do not accept bribes. I'm loyal to my contracts and will finish them first. Next I get called every name in the book.
I then changed my strategy and said I wouldn't track for anyone outside my guild. I read on these forums how difficult it is to find pirates and moisture farmers, and the fact I don't like tracking really anyway, I decided I won't track for anyone, I don't care who ya are. LOL. I will track jedi though, since the tracking isn't screwy for tracking players. There are some nice jedi on Ahazi, but for the most part they're rude and annoying, so I will track them down and have my people kill em. Muhahaahhaa.
Now when I go to large cities or planets where trackers are sought, I put up an afk message stating: 1. I am contracted at the moment, 2. I don't track for anyone, 3. Yes, I will train you. Those are the three things I get asked for all the time, so I figured I'd answer em all and continue with my hunting.

Hmmm, so most of you who answered must be close to being a Jedi, you have the same 'helpful' and 'open', 'sharing' and 'gamesmanship' attitude as Jedi.
I didnt want a Master Ranger, just someone who can track.
To the guy who asked if a Doc would follow him around for 1-3 hrs to buff and keep alive for 100k, I would say if he was ONLY Doc 0-2-0-0 he would jump at the chance for the cash.
