Is there any statement how high this can get? 103% on TC might as well end up at 200%+ on live IF there is no cap on it :-).

I'm confused now..
Did you post that here to show us that it's all good , all bad , or subject to personal opinion ?... If it's subject to opinion then based on those facts I think they look more useless than I thought and stand by my previously uninformed but strangely correct appraisal of the droids sucking...
well, if they leave it this way, it's useless to me. I guess that would be bad. I wrote up a few suggestions in the test forum, I'll just hit the main points:
- Bullets, again, in fond memory of Nraas
- needs to have a "harvest the quilifying bodies" command, preferably when you don't target anything
- needs to add loot in front of harvest
- would be good to have a "harvest as they fall" option
- it took an R3 FULL of harvest modules to get parity (same as by hand amounts). I would rather achieve that in one module and maybe cap it there, maybe not. I'd like a trap-thrower and combat in the same machine. I really don't think that is too much to ask, especially if the combat version bumps out my pet (the non-com doesn't, thankfully)
Any clearer? As mud, right? ![]()

Hey, Calc: where to I post my "opinions" about this harvesting droid thingie before they release it on live and discover that no one buys them still? I would like to get their attention so that they avert disaster

Hmm, sorry for spreading the apparent misinformation about the droids adding to your harvest skill. I haven't been on TC, so I didn't do testing, that was just what folks were saying on the DE boards.
*Hopefully* (at least, in my opinion) they will fix it so that there is a bonus; and I think that the precedent is there, both in terms of droids increasing your skill (110% med module) AND the ability to increase harvest amounts (that new food from the chef revamp). I wouldn't be too worried about novice scouts out-harvesting a master ranger, but I certainly am all for making the harvest bonuses in ranger more pronounced.

Certainly didn't mean to rain on the ranger parade. Whenever the devs can get around to bunker/high hide camps, tripwires/bear traps/etc, and better camo, I'll be hard pressed to find the skillpoints to dive back into ranger more fully.
And getting back on topic, I agree with Fred's ideas on enhancing the module to make it more attractive. Loot capabilities and being able to either set the droid to harvest every kill or be commanded to harvest all the corpses in the area would certainly make them more useful. But, even if they got pushed to live as they are on TC right now, there are a few folks out there like me who will enjoy having them.

Sorry, that was commentary on the Ranger profession, not you.

I would try the In Testing forum and the DE Forum (they shoudl have a thread dedicated to the harvesting module. Good luck in your endeavor. Hehehe.

I dont know about the rest of u, but i find it a little offensive that i might NEED to use a droid just to get the harvesting bonuses that i SHOULD have.

Perhaps if they made it where both i and the droid could harvest from the same corpse then there might be a use
