Thread: Dead mans shoes.. correspondant nominations
Well, Ferd, the SotP wouldn't necessarily take too much time. Most of the issues and ideas on it encompass just about everything that the community has come up with lately; I haven't seen many completely new ideas in the past few months. Since everything is already there, all you would need is to be familiar with the thing enough to catch which ideas are new and which aren't.
However, Rfed, while I do think that you would probably be a great correspondent, I can respect your decision to not apply as well. ![]()

Seriously, I would have to think about this. I too, can be a hot-head. I sometimes have time to do some things like the AR updates but that SotP takes real time and dedication. I'd rather someone that did have the time and ability to fill Nraas's shoes. I can't even remember our first corr (Yes! surprise, there was one before Nrass).
I do this stuff at work mostly when there is downtime but there can be moments were I might not even log in for a week. Thankfully we finished porting over to the new machine and DB version at work so I got time now, but there are no guaranties a month or two from now.
There is one bonus for you all, you really have to try to misspell Fred.
Ha! Jedi mind tricks don't work with text!
Anyone can be a hot-head but *you* also know how to cool down. Some people never learn that skill.
You don't remember Mineras? For shame. And he was on Eclipse as well. I'll grant you, he wasn't much of a poster.
And I agree, it's not easy to misspell Freud. That's definitely a plus on your resume.
Remember this little gem?

Mineras will be helping the Ranger community by keeping us informed on the major issues with the Ranger profession. Keep in mind, this title will be rotated monthly to take the stress off the current correspondent and to help us get the best feedback possible.
Squib.
All I will say is....you may like me more soon. ![]()
And for the record - I like my job, and I don't want to be promoted. You guys need someone who is a leader of this community. I, unfortunately, am not one of those...merely a member. I'd prefer someone like Calc, Fred or the gang to take this job over me doing it.
B
/shudder at the idea of Sniping IV granting the title "Silent Assassin".
