No wonder I feel so at home on Endor! If you don't get buffed, you don't wear armor, and you don't have enough things in your inventory to justify wearing a backpack - dying isnt that bad! And it is a quick way to stop disease! Usually its just my big wookiee, my big gun, my big pet, and hundreds of dead mantigure screechers. Very relaxing. And you can get a refill on your drink while you load into the cloning center to get more missions! Perfect!

Don't forget the lousy xp. All the starter planets lack significant creature game. Back when the game was getting up and running I remember hearing stories of player groups heading to endor to get massacred upon arriving at the starport there by creatures. It's part of the reason it took me 2 months to leave Rori and another 2 months to leave Naboo.
BTW... Rori is completely bereft of anything worth hunting these days. So that'd be my vote.

On Gorath (which apparently has but a handfull of real Rangers)- Corellia sucks b/c you can't walk 500M w/o running into a freakin player city/vendormart (greedy money/credit mongars!). Tatooine sucks if you have to go near Mos Eisley (Lag Central). Out in the boonies, it's not too bad. Okay, that's my rant. Thanks.

I dunno why I feel differently. I absolutely LOVE Corellia. Call me crazy. maybe because it was the planet I spent most of my time leveling up ranger on. My friend and I explored every nook and cranny of Corellia, that was incredibly fun.we also found some neatbeasts that areactually quite good for hunting if you know where to look. Aside form CoroLag, I love Corellia.. just not for harvesting (aside from carnivore meat but that will never happen).
anyway, the worst planet for hunting has to be Naboo. crappy spawns, crappy creatures, no natural spawns, but very nice scenery. Tatooine can have its good days but it kinda sucks too.. i likeit anyway I really like Yavin, Dathomir, and Endor otherwise.

Corellia is the worst planet for hunting. Way too many people, and if there are any challenging critters there, they must have wayfaring 4 because I keep missing them.
I'm a little surprised at all this scorn for dathomir, though. Until this whole village debacle, dath was a ranger's paradise. Beasties big and small, horrible women to hide from, no cities whatsoever, a landscape with some variety to it... need I go on? Before every l337 dewd and his dog started flocking to dath to do village quests, my only problem there was the constant rain and its accompanying mini-lag.

I think Dathomir is the tops, is my new favourite planet, as I have got a bit bored with Endor.
Remember, kill some Rancors, make some camo kits and USE them, camo really helps on this planet, also if you see a red dot in the radar fly around it, if you see a lair on the radar but no dots for creatures then fly around it.
OH and they actually made Dathomir lighter a while back, it was darker originally.
And to all those punks who zoom their speeders right through the lair I am working on with half the planet chasing them...... sorry I digress.
Overall great planet though.

Changed my mind - Yavin 4
Last night, got buffed and went to Yavin 4 Mining Outpost after domestic meat. Was slain as I killed my first critter by a Black Sun Avenger. Just came along, killed me and carrreid on patrolling.
Limped back to Coronet, buffed again and went back. Me and a team-mate both slain within 20 minutes again as we were attacking the prey and again by Black Sun Avengers. Suddenly the 45cpu for killing oversized featherless chicks seems like danger money. They are damn hard to kill...harder than I know how anyway.
And I have to go back for 65k more of the stuff....sob.

I recently took a contract for 50k Naboo avian bones, 50k tat bristley hide and as much corellian scaley as I can get. LOL. All spawned at the same time. I had to tell the guy there is no way I can get all that by my lonesome before they shift. So, I am working on avian bone near kaadara. Why would they make all the good resources for wookie armor spawn at the same time? Its just wrong.
Hunting for the avian was bad enough. But that scaley hide.. lol. I grab 8 units a piece from butterflies and have no clue where dalyrakes hang out. IMpossible. He wanted 100k of it. LOL I hate hunting on nonadventure planets. Not enough spawns ever. Hate using mission terminals.

Once I quit worrying about dying and learned to not carry anything that'd matter if it decayed, I found the clone trip was an excuse to stretch my legs, get away from the screens and go see what my family looked like.
Reckon I'll go dump this bag of trash in the house and head on out someplace quiet for the afternoon. Endor sounds better already.

I'm surprised, hardly anyone has mentioned Rori. Interesting planet, but not for harvesting. Once you get outside of restuss, you'll barely see a single creature. I used to like going to the Creature Vs Poacher POI to slaughter and harvest whatever was there if it was in demand, but the last few times even that place was dead and nothing respawned.
As for corellia.. I'm probably alone here, but I'm always happy to hear of a good avian spawn there. I just activate the waypoint to my "secret spot" and start killing the endless devil gulginaws that spawn! I usually don't even bother with the giant spats nearby.
I almost always like hunting on Dathomir, especially if the resource is on a rancor. I'll take two missions from the terminals, as far away as I can get them, head out on foot and spend the next couple of hours just hunting natural lairs. I just hate when they die on the side of a cliff. It's annoying trying to find and harvest the corpses hidden by blackness.

I don't really dislike any of the planets for hunting. I do however have major psychotic prolapses of brain tissue when looking for spawns on Rori. I agree with the post about walking from Narmale to Restuss without seeing anything. I break it down like this;
Starter Planets - only go to them when I am looking to get healed or buffed, oh wait that means Corelia or Naboo
Dathomir - Love it, nothing but harvest after harvest
Dantooine - Used to love it, leveling has become it's purpose.
Talus - The planet the DEV's forgot, might as well add Drall, Selonia, and Tralus. Just as desertable.
Endor - Another great leveling planet
Moon of Yavin 4 - I like it, deserted like Talus(with the exception of Geo Cave), but with really cool stuff to kill, usually dropping something worthwhile to harvest.
Lok - Great Planet with lack of variety. Great harvests if you know where to hunt.
Other than that, I honestly go where the great harvests are. In the end I am just a whore for credits and go where they are being offered.
