Why master? Well, there's some bonuses and skill enhancements, but mostly it's for the satisfaction that comes of getting the approbation of the rest of the Ranger community when you do master. THat and it attracts the ladies.
I went Ranger after maxing out my scout XP and thinking "hey, wonder what you're supposed to do after master scout..." After a week or two doing it while I made up my mind about what to do next I realised I was actually enjoying 'just' being a Ranger.
Then I found the forum and, well, still here, lol.
