Thread: Price List open for comments
I agree with the idea of price fixing, it's turning out to be the way the economy works for now. I think we definitely should try and get the scouts on board, but unfortunately I feel a lot of people with scout never visit the scout forums.
I may be a novice here, but I was thinking that people buy into something being better if only you tell them that it is better. I bet if we start charging more for quality resources, and make a point of noting that in the sale price, saying as clearly and loudly as possible in the bazaar that THIS AIN'T YOUR ORDINARY RESOURCE, people will pay more for it, even if they don't necessarily NEED higher quality stuff.
It's basic marketing, if you tell them yours is high quality, or super duper, or what have you, they'll likely pay more for it I think.
The main thing is as rangers we have to come together on the idea of resource sales as a REAL product, one that is just as valid as a weapon or a piece of armor, and hold to our pricing structures accordingly.
I haven't tried this yet, but I was thinking about pricing meat based on how much my time is worth, ...
For an hour I'm going to run the highest paying / level missions that I'm capable of doing at my combat skill level, then I'm going to harvest meat for an hour. I'll take the amount of resources I can harvest in an hour, and the amount of credits I can make running missions in an hour, and come up with some kind of "happy medium" pricing schedule. (i.e., if I can make 30k credits an hour running missions and collect 3000 units of high quality meat in an hour, then the price will hover at or above 10 cpu)
