Thread: Availability of Camo Kit Resources
It appears I missed a post here...
Seiryuu
Thanks for the breakdown on Talus, Rori, Dathomir, and Yavin...
"I think you should try this one out yourself, see what you think and then let us know"
It's a good idea, but since I've never been there myself, it would take a good couple weeks to get a proper feeling for the planet.
I rely on those more knowledgable than I (namely all the other Rangers
) to give me their informed impresions on the worlds.
----
If no one else has any comments... I willdraw GreenMarine's attention tomorrow regarding:
- Lok Domesticated Meat - this one was in the Top Issue, but might as well point it out again
- Tatooine Wooly Hide - this resource is considered too expensive to "waste" on ourselves
I will also make suggest that the developersgo over the resource list for all the creatures in the system, and ensure that whateach creaturedoes drop is reasonable, especially the newly added critters...
Good Hunting.
The perfect quote: "it would take a good couple of weeks...".
I'll leave my conceal argument with that statement and the reminder that this thread is talking about the "Availability of Camo Kit Resources". I really don't think anything more needs to be said. Thank you. ^^

I appear to have been misconstrued, or am misconstruing your intent. ![]()
It would take a good couple of weeks for casual player such as myself (who only plays for at 1-2 hours on the weekdays) to get the lay of the land on Endor.
I mean... I spent myfirst two months on Naboo and never even left the planet, yet still did not see or hunt every available creature.
I spend a week or more on each planet I visit (it cuts down on travel expenses
).
Currently I'm on Dantooine, been there a week now, and have yet to even visit the other cities (I'm hunting critters around the Imperial base).
So, as you can see... I don't think you want to wait for my slow paced gaming style to provide results.
Rather... Those Rangers out there on the constant move, with more backing, and firepower, would probably be better equiped to provide the information required. ![]()
Please add the Flower Fruit resource on LOK to the list for me..
At least on Bria.. I have found a 77% survey spot and still cannot sample due to the Resource quantity is too low message.
I am not really having much issue with the others except of course the Domesticated meat on Lok also.
I havent bothered with Naboo or Corellia or Tattoine camou kits since these planets are relatively safe and easy to get around on.. but Dant, LOK and endor.. now those are some camou requiring planets.

I listed Tatooine with Endor and Lok as they are NPC heavy and I didn't think the resources were all that easy to get. Not so much that they are rare but rather inconvient to get with 0-1 mobs giving it. I think the floral component for Tat is fairly rare also but it was given to me in bulk by a guild mate so I didn't really check. Also, if you're a TK of any reasonable level, running to the middle of nowhere to farm wooly hide in Tatooine is just extraordinarily boring barring the occasional run in with a tusken. The fact that tatooine wooly is needed by tailors and armorsmiths (though any wooly will do for the latter) makes buying it off the bazaar very expensive.

I presume Tatooine was not listed because of the Wooly Hide requirement...

Well I guess that is a play style choice... I enjoyed my limited time on Tatooine, as long I didn't run into the Tusken. ![]()

Doesn't that preclude using any hide at all in the requirements?Armorsmiths seem to purchase all varieties of hides. ![]()
I guess Woolyhide would bea special case because it is a used a great deal in tailoring as well...

The thing to note is that the resource is available to purchase (whether it is too expensive for most Rangers).
The Camoflauge kit is an elite item, and that should be accounted into the cost of production.
By boring I mean there is no challenge in the sense of getting no experience. It's like needing to kill hundreds of gnorts for resources. Yeah we can do it and they are conveniently located, but it's boring. If we have alternatives then it becomes a play style choice. But if there is only one creature that drops the resource, being way too easy or way too hard can be a problem.
Wooly hide is used in composite armor. Armor smiths pay top credit for the decent stuff. It's not the same for any other hide in my experience. If those banthas dropped any decent wooly hide odds are I'd have never made camo kits.
If it's easier and cheaper to make Dathomir camo kits than Tatooine camo kits, which is more elite?

NRaas,
If you are going to ask what we think is rare or hard to get, then refute us. Don't ask anymore. Just tell the Devs what you believe and save us the time from posting.
It was just a gripe about the time it took to put these kits together versus how fast they were used up.
After the Test Center update notes, I have nothing to complain about. They removed the flora component, upped the charges and fixed the factory issues. That was all I wanted.
You might double-check that they are aware that the Dantooine kit uses two flora components though...
