Yeah but after a play session where you've hunted 500-1000 critters.... the math adds up. However, if you're not happy with your droid, I'll take it off your hands for a few credits. I've only got a 109 and would love something higher.

/drool

I'd kill for a 114 droid

Tonight on Endor my 107 droid consistently got me about 11-12-ishextra meat on the same breed ofmob that Iharvested for 220, so the droid was harvesting for 232 or so. Not a heck of alot more, but if you're killings lots & lots of mobs and harvesting lots & lots of resources, an approximate 5% bonus adds up in a hurry. On a 75k haul of high value meat, for example, another 5% is 3750, which for some meats (like Kettemoor's current Endor carnivore) adds up to bea significantchunk of change.

The only time I have wished for a harvesting droid is when I'm hunting spiders on Endor. for some reason the really like me, so no matter where I kill them, with their dying breath, the zoom over to give me a hug and tell me it's alright, they understand. So I end up with a pile of dead spiders in front of me...and then I can harvest maybe 1 or two (always the last ones killed) and wait till they move to harvest the ones beneath. By that time, the first ones I've killed have despawned and I lose a hundred or so units of meat.

Other than that, the droids interface always just makes me want to slap it...so I never use it.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Just picked up a 117 rating droid this morning. Will test it out on some tortun lairs later. This time solo grouped so I can get the big boy lairs.

I see a difference with my droid as a Master Ranger. The thing to remember is the increase will be a percentage of what ever you are harvesting. If you are harvisting 40-50 units per creature, you will only see a small 2-4 unit increase. It is when you are harvesting off of the big game where you will notice a larger increase.

And to answer the question above, any droid would work as a harvesting droid, but not all base models carry the same ammount of modules, and some are faster moving than others. Most people get R3 droids since they hold the most modules of any droid (6) and can move pretty well over land. The more modules you can get into a droid, the larger it's harvest rating.

Now if only I could get an R3 droid with 5 harvesting modules and 1 looting module....

Eclipse has a DE that made some R3's totalling 119%. btw, you MUST have at least 5 perfect harvest modules for 100%. This one on Elcipse is the only one I have seen able to come close. Not likely that you will get a droid with a spare slot after all that and worthy of use.

After using the droid for a while on Dant last night I stopped using it sense the server lag was so bad. On low demand times it was worth the extra 19% but I could be more efficient harvesting myself on high lag times. You cannot cache up harvest commands, which is a shame. You MUST wait for the droid to finsh before targeting the next and issuing the harvest command, or it simply does not hear you. Would be nice if you issued the harvest command w/o a target that the droid would harvest all the qualifying bodies it sees.

when you say 119% do you mean it's harvest rating? cuz the rating of the droid isn't a percentage, just clarifying cuz it can be confusing to some people who think that a 119 droid will harvest 19% more than you to which isn't the case.

that would make droids sooo much more useful if they were "smarter". Like how you put a pet on guard and it automaticly decides to attack something, it'd be great to put a droid on "harvest" and it knows to go out and harvest anything that you kill.

ah yes, I too purchased one of the fabled starsider 117 harvest droids...love it, the extra units it pulls really really add up over 3-4 hours hard hunting.

One thing to note, the droid only "runs away" when ungrouped ifit takes damage. I noticed this phenomenon only while hunting critters w/ an AoE. (Rancors mostly)
