lol ill do my best to describe it then hehe.

Thinkwhite leather with some worn sandy coloured areas here and there. Not in the shape of an animal skin like before. More concentrated towards the lower left of the tanning device.

And cant wait to see you on Garva's Home Show

  • Components needed

    • schematic (1 use) from a Tusken Warrior
    • 150 wood (any)
    • 100 Leather hide (any)

  • Required Skill level options

    • Ranger Frontiering 4 - Rangers can already make complex structures (High Tech Field Base Kit), so one would assume they have the knowledge to attach a tanned hide to a simple wooden structure.

    • Ranger Tracking 4 (Harvesting skilltree) - One would assume the hides we harvest are already stretched and tanned before sale or trade. Placing the schematic in this tree would allow access to a greater number of players (tracker/harvesting dabblers) than just a small group who play master rangers.

The components required, along with the schematic, already exist on test center.

The only thing I suggest is moving the schematic use requirements from Furniture 4 (Architect) to either of the two choices above. Either of the two would make sense and I'd be fine with both.

While we're not a crafting profession, per se, we do have the ability and knowledge to craft items, structures, experiment on camo uses, create schematics of all our items and run them through factories. I don't see it as unreasonable to ask for a small decoration (which symbolizes our current identity as hunters), and wouldn't think it would take away from the architect profession to give us this schematic.

I understand completely where your coming from frightwig. My point, simply, is that if we want to be a combat oriented profession I think we should avoid leaning on craftable items. Even one time use ones.

Yes we make camps and traps, but those are limited to use within our own professional subset. We can't craft a camp to sell to ANYONE, know what I mean?

It wouldn't kill me to see these moved over. But my fear is that we're putting the cart before the horse by concentrating on these items right now.

It's a big fear of mine that a little love now (these schems) might justify a delay in our Revamp. I'd rather just sit back and concentrate our attention on the big things first.

Like our uproar with the "entertainer camps" I think we should reserve our energy until something drastically threatens our current livlihood.

Just two sides to the same fence I suppose.

hehe its ok im not saying wont push for it or anything like that, just wanting to know what others are feeling on this.

How would you have it if you could change things? Such as what parts would be looted, what parts would be crafted, what profession would craft the overall thing? Just right down a bulletted list and ill post it in the corr forums for others to see what they think about it.

well you also have to think, sometimes being too defensive and waiting it out for a "perfect" time can sometimes cause you to completely miss the chance.

We need to keep a firm pressure on the fact of what we want. Anything that looks like it could be made in the wilderness should probably go to ranger in my opinion.

a tanned skin sounds like something we should be able to make (same idea as our trophy's idea) , and if we don't push now, they'll have a harder time swapping it around becuase the arch's will be used to having it.

(and i also do understand what you're saying about conserving energy, but we need to find a starting point, because while most things will be in scope of the ranger revamp, this is something that can be added on before the revamp.

(im going off topic for a moment) there finally got SOE to verify my email addy.

Personally i think the whole tanned hides could go to the rangers and i know for a fact that it wouldn't hurt the archetects as stated above. Though if it did stay in their tree it wouldn't cause my head to suddenly explode from anger or outrage. It's just something that i think would be cool to get as i would have several in my living room.
