Ooops. Forgot not everyone here is a Computer Engineer ![]()
In computers they have to represent negitive numbers by splitting the bit-space up. In easier terms to understand when any bit on half on the far right is a "1" it's negitive. There is a slightly complex deal with 2's compliment effect which keeps from wasting the code, but I won't confuse you with that. Basically:
0000 0001 = 1
11111111 = -1, but this can also be 255.
So my guess is that they got a boundry effect like this. So like with the Krettle, a very low challange level makes it look like to the Conceal algorithm to be an impossibly high one.
Point 1:
"Rangers would aslo like the /areatrack window to be sortable by creature/direction/distance."
typo: also
"Players have settled in the former wilderness areas which has suppressed many of the spawns."
I'm not sure this is correctly included in point 1, seems a deviation from "tracking tree"
Point 2:
"Rangers have a skill line devoted to Trapping that only offers 2 new traps in the 4 boxes."
A bit unclear. How about "which only offers 2 new traps in the entire skill line" ?
"Also, Rangers feel that traps should affect any animal by Master Ranger. "
Very unclear. Traps thrown by a Master Ranger should affect any animal?
" Old bugs include the last trap is a stack always failing and not always recieving a message concerning the result of the trap."
Not english.
The last trap in a stack always fails is what I think you meant?
Point 3:
"Reports are honestly mixed on this one. It appears that /conceal works against Imperial or Rebel faction NPCs, but no others (some report it works fine)."
This is at risk at being disregarded based on there not being a clear "issue" at stake, if rangers are mixed (is that like neopolitan?) then should it be issue number 3?
Personally, I think it only rates that ranking if you specifically ask for clarification. "Rangers are unclear as to the purpose and usefulness of /conceal vs. maskscent. Should /conceal work against humanoid npcs and if so are there restrictions" for example, something concrete that the devs can deal with.
Point 4:
"The last remaing vestige of usefulness was removed in the last publish when the ability call vehicles and pets/droids without a camp was introduced. Most Rangers are not upset that this happened..."
As you are being asked to keep it concise, I wouldn't comment on a nerf then negate it with a qualifier of rangers aren't upset. Also, you say "moderate usefulness" then continuing to say last remaining vestige of usefulness. As a dev, my immediate response would be "make up your mind." Is there a reason not to cut the middle bit leaving the first sentence and the proposals for fixing this?
"Rangers outlined a Modular Camping system in the Outdoorsman Proposal, but, barring implementatio of that, have a few requests:"
typo: implementation
"Ranger camps the actually repel aggro critters (this is a bug)"
typo: Ranger camps that (or which) actually repel... etc.
Point 5:
typo: close your brackets.
For the Trapping NPCs i think there should be a second mod in the trapping tree for ranger.
Right now we have trappingm ods per skill box.
We should have a second mod for trapping NPCs in the ranger tree.this way only Rangers get this. at novice ranger we should have the following mods
Trapping +65 (guesstimate)
NPC trapping +5
at Master it should be.
Trapping +120 (guesstimate)
NPC trapping +60
Probly much simpler for the devs to implement . And if need be make traps for NPCs only. example Bola (typo??) should work like adhesive mesh. on NPCs. the arms are tied up and they cannot shoot back fro a couple seconds.
how about you post this in the forums so we dont have to use a third party program to view it?
after all the forums are for reading.
