I often go out the out the gate just behind the Starpot in Mos Eisley, walk out into the vally just far enough to set up a Base or a Camp of one kind or another, and just hang with teh n00bs. I keep a case of each of the CDEFs that I made a schem for when I was a Maser Artsian (dmg 30 -61 vs those sad 17 - 35 helps a bit) in my pack. Good way to remind you're self you're here to have fun.

I like to wander about Tatooine looking for a group of newbies being attacked by swoopers or some such. Assuming they survive, and I'll often pop off a headshot2 from my rifle to make sure they do, I'll put up a camp and wait for them to come running up looking for healing and offering thanks.
"NP," says I, and I offer them seats around the fire. I've met a couple of future guildmembers this way, and earned a lot of AP and gratitude in the process.
I love camping.

Camping is one of my favorite parts of the game actually. I plop myself down, and people come and chat and everything...I <3 my camps. The best part is getting a new camp and seeing it make your old camp look like a pup tent.

Camping in itself is fun, especially if you are a RP type. And the HTFB always impresses.
But camping for xp isn't fun at all. Working my way up to Master, I used to have nightmares about the crackle of the campfire and the practise mode of my generic crafting tool

It isn't the camping that is so bad, it is the fact that it is next to useless because it heals slowly, it does nothing for BF (as if people in the out of doors in camps don't truly relax and enjoy and kick back, yah right), players don't need it for anything other than they want to socialize and relax in the wild (back to the BF issue), and as far as I know agroos can still break it and they are not suppose to so it isn't any protection either. So you spend lots of time in camp getting this experience that really other than a relaxing social enviroment (BF again) is not used. When I first started in beta for this game and in the early months camps were needed for healing and hopefully for some kind of protection (which apparently became broken at some point). Today everyone is either at least a novice medic or a 4th level Meditation master in TKA, so healing (which was always very slow) and with the swoops that can get you to a doctor if they aren't buffing constantly have made camps unnecessary. So you are giving a lot of time not gaining anything in reality other than the experience and levels necessary to Master Ranger. Lol sort of like the Smugglers on branch that doesn't have anything in it but you have to master it is you want to become a master smuggler only theirs really does say it is useless.
