/harvest bone; works fine
JBMat wrote:For the record - I run 2 macros right now. /Lootall /harvest meat and /lootall / harvest hide. And thats because they are faster and easier than the radial - which is still used for bone.

Second, why would i run a crafting macro if macros are for morons?
Crafting macros are a bit different than the camping macro you asked for. First, they give good xp when you make them; and Second the traps can be used when you are in combat and will give trapping xp when they work.

Well im 4.4.3.4 Ranger again. Im 10k towards my 60k for 4 and i have ground 5 camps. Last night i had a bunch of guild work to do. So i sat in my field base and did my emails and guild work.
So close to that third time master badge. Hey Iseult you almost ready for training?
Oh and dont take JB personally hes not a macro or CH person. In this case the "How to master scout" post still applies since ranger changes nothing on how to get through camps fast. If your in a rush to master ranger.
BTW why rush to master ranger? Theres nothing in the master box that is a big goal. No "Magic Crate-O-Matic Dragon trap" or "Plus +500 to harvest"

I was fortunate to have a guildmate doctor help me. We would set up camp and offer buffs for like 6k....maybe have someone set up a bot in coronet advertising wp.
Also, you can call a pet, the doc can buff him, store him, and call him again - doc can buff him again.....more xp.
You may be out some money for the docs buff though.

Oh and I have been thinking (no I did not hurt myself this time). A really good spot it set up camp, is about 100m to the west of Nym's Starport. There is a nice little mountain there, and a lot, I mean a lot of Pilots will be useing your camp to heal. If you have basic medic skills make up some health and action wound packs, as a Pilot recieves a -100 hit on their HAM everytime they get blowed up, and most wait untill they get blowed up a few times before they heal. The point being up on that mountain noone will miss your camp, I am not sure but you may be able to hear a /yell camp and medic 100m west of starport, from the starport, but it may be worth a try.

Why do people quote the entire post when disagreeing? I know what I wrote, and as I read forums as they appear, and assume most people do the same, can we stop the wholesale quote thingy?
Macros are still for morons. Figured you did not have the 'nads to camp for real, so I gave you an out there, the crafting macro. Which, btw, I never used because when I made Master, crafting counted for squat - maybe artisan xp, I dunno. Yup, you asked for a macro, so I gave you one. Some people not quite bright enough to figure out what makes the most XP.
Don't care a whit about you, btw. Not on my server, so I don't have to refuse to train you.
Also, yes I know /harvest bone works, but I ran out of toolbar slots. Shoulda said that. Sry.
Meanwhile, as I still think any profession that you can macro is plain dumb (wow, thats most of them come to think of it) I am staying Ranger.
JB
4/4/4/4 and one mission from master level in pilot.
Gonna name my next ship "Pigs in Space" or Miss Piggy, not sure

k, hoping this quote (said edit for some reason, its early.) thing worked since i know very little HTML and cut out the part that i didn't care about it (seems some people get mad if i use the whole post). I don't want to rush to MASTER ranger, i want to rush to novice ranger.
JB, its not that i don't have the 'nads to do it, i don't have the pateince.

Ok in that case the friday feature was all about crafting macros. Just make a standard crafting one and make the highest level camp you can to get through scout camping. Do it while sitting in a camp and disband it every 20 minutes.

if you can't handle scout Wilderness Survival, you may want to rethink that Ranger thing...unless you plan on only being a one-line wonder..in which case, JB will continue to laugh at you and you will continue to be frustrated.
If you're going for Master Ranger, then you're going to have to do more wilderness survival-- and a LOT more XP is required. So really, if you can't handle scout XP requirements...you really won't be able to handle being a Ranger.
Quick question-- if you don't like actually spending time in the wilderness (which is what camping is) why are you going Ranger?

Thought XP capped at 15 minutes, but the person might have been wrong.

XP caps at different times.
If more than one person is in your camp, it goes faster.
If someone is healing in your camp, it goes faster.
if you yourself have wounds and they auto-heal, it goes faster.
if people drive through your camp, it goes faster.
different level camps have different caps, too.
