"did nothing more than craft one High Quality Camp and heal my wounds."

You get a huge boost to your wilderness survival XP from healing wounds. That would be the difference. The extra you get from crafting isn't listed in the amount you receive upon disbanding the camp, in fact there's no sysmessage at all that tells you that you got it. And I'm not entirely convinced that crafting increases the amount you get from the camp itself.

Having a few friends craft or hang around in your camp works wonders.

Stick your camp at either end of the bridge near Theed, on Chimaera that gets a lot of traffic, so might be the same on your server.

supposedly there's a trick where you can get your camp slightly underwater. if you can do that, then fish while in the camp, because fishing gives survival xp as well.

I think there is also a good section on this in Delta's guide on the Scout forum.

I hate it when I run across or drive across that bridge just to get stuck on someones camp.

MACROS ARE FOR MORONS

I mean, be real here. The camps will not disband on command. They disband on time cues only - 51 minutes and change after first being pitched. A lumpus on a log camper maxes in 21 minutes. You waste a half hour on each camp. Granted, you are sleeping and messing up spawn in anarea, but hey, what do you care, you are a moron anyhow.

The quickest and easiest way to max out camping is to sit in camp, run a craft macro with 3 or 4 machines and kick back. Change camp every 10 mins or so for more xp.

Of course - notice the tag in the posters signature block - ah hah - Novice BH. I knew it. Macro the entire profession except for stinking Investigations, why they are so few Masters.

For the record - I run 2 macros right now. /Lootall /harvest meat and /lootall / harvest hide. And thats because they are faster and easier than the radial - which is still used for bone.

Made me spill my drink for the first time. I'm normally pretty good about that, but that was just too much....

I've wondered whats wrong with taking the time to just go out and wander around the wilderness, hunting, looking for interesting things, using mask scent to get the xp while your wandering. When you get tired, set up a camp, craft some stims, camo kits, traps, more camps, and enjoy the scenery that SWG has to offer all the while earning xp. I know this sounds so old school compared to the way alot seem to want to do it nowadays, but thats how I did it. Give it a try, you might find that you really enjoy it

Hehe. I must be different. What I remember of my camps is perching them high on a peak somewhat on Dath, out of breath and desperately healing ourselves while hoping some nasty didnt run in and send us all back to the cloner. Usually we were waiting for our other friends to make the loooong run back, sometimes dying on the way (which could turn it into a two or three camp wait). Sometimes we would get bored. I kept an array of embarrasing clothes in my inventory so that when my husband went afk to vistit the little rodian's room we could dress him up and take screenies. Not many flowers... but lots of fun.

k, First...I'm dropping BH and need to change that.

Second, why would i run a crafting macro if macros are for morons?

Third, i didn't post this asking if you liked me or not, stop trying to get posts by making fun of people.

Camps had a purpose back then and I remember people always looking for scouts and rangers to go hunting becuase of our camps. Now they do nothing and for the fledgling Ranger camping only exists as the Survival grind on the way to master.
